Power off the phone
1 minPress and hold the Power and Volume Up buttons, then select Power Off on the screen.

Eject the SIM tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the hole on the left edge and push firmly to pop out the tray.

Heat the rear panel
2 minApply heat to the outer edges of the rear cover using a heat gun or hair dryer for two minutes.

Attach a suction cup
1 minPress a suction cup firmly onto the lower portion of the rear cover and pull upward to create a slight gap.

Insert an opening pick
1 minSlide a thin plastic opening pick into the gap between the plastic frame and the rear cover.

Slice the perimeter adhesive
3 minSlide the pick around all four edges of the back cover to cut through the adhesive seal.

Remove the back cover
1 minLift the rear cover straight off the chassis and set it aside.

Unscrew the midframe screws
3 minUse a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove all visible screws holding down the plastic midframe assembly.

Unclip the midframe bezel

2 minPeel and place fresh double-sided adhesive strips into the battery compartment.

2 minAlign the replacement battery in the housing and press down firmly to secure it to the adhesive.

Reconnect motherboard flex cables
