   Eject the SIM tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole next to the SIM tray on the left edge. Push firmly to pop the tray out and remove it.

   Heat the rear cover adhesive

   Apply heat to the edges of the back cover using a heat gun set to low for 2 minutes to soften the glue.

   Attach suction cup to rear cover

   Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the rear panel and pull upward firmly to create a tiny gap.

   Insert opening pick under rear cover

   Slide a thin plastic opening pick into the seam created between the rear panel and the phone frame.

   Slice rear cover adhesive

   Slide the pick around all four edges of the back panel to cut through the perimeter adhesive.

   Remove the rear cover

   Gently lift the rear cover off the phone frame and set it aside.

   Unscrew midframe Phillips screws

   Use a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove all visible screws securing the plastic midframe to the phone body.

   Detach plastic midframe bezel

   Insert a plastic spudger into the outer seam of the midframe and pry gently along the edges to unclip it.

    Press a suction cup to the bottom glass edge and insert an opening pick between the screen and outer housing.

    Slide the plastic pick carefully around all sides of the display assembly to separate the screen from the housing.

    Remove old display panel

    Lift the display assembly away from the frame while guiding the flex cable through the slot in the chassis.

    Scrape away leftover adhesive

    Clean the inner ledge of the frame thoroughly using isopropyl alcohol and a flat nylon tool to remove all old glue.

    Apply fresh display adhesive

    Lay down double-sided adhesive strips along the entire perimeter of the phone housing frame.

    Mount new screen panel

    Thread the new screen's flex cable through the frame slot and press the screen flat into place along the edges.

    Reconnect display flex cable

    Align and snap the display ribbon cable connector onto the motherboard press socket.

    Press the battery cable connector straight down onto its motherboard terminal until it clicks.

    Reinstall midframe bezel and screws

    Snap the midframe back onto the chassis and replace all Phillips screws securely.

    Seal rear cover to frame

    Apply new adhesive tape to the back cover edges, align it over the phone, and press firmly to seal.

    Reinsert SIM tray
