   Eject the SIM Card Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the pinhole next to the SIM tray on the left edge. Push firmly until the tray pops out, then remove it.

   Heat the Back Cover

   Use a heat gun or hairdryer to warm the outer edges of the back cover for about two minutes. This softens the adhesive securing the rear panel.

   Slice the Back Cover Adhesive

   Place a suction cup on the lower portion of the back cover and pull upward to create a slight gap. Insert an opening pick into the gap and slide it along all sides to slice the adhesive.

   Remove the Back Cover

   Carefully lift the back cover straight off the phone. Set it aside in a clean area.

   Unscrew the Midframe

   Use a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove all visible screws securing the plastic midframe assembly.

   Unclip the Midframe Bezel

   Insert a plastic prying tool between the plastic midframe and the screen bezel. Pry along the perimeter to release the snap clips and detach the midframe.

   Disconnect the Battery

   Use the flat end of a spudger to pry the battery press connector straight up from the motherboard. This prevents short circuits during repair.

   Unscrew the Loudspeaker

   Remove the Phillips screws holding the lower loudspeaker housing at the bottom of the device.

   Remove the Loudspeaker Assembly

   Pry up the loudspeaker module using a plastic spudger and lift it out of the chassis.

    Disconnect the Interconnect Cable

    Use a spudger to lift the main flex cable connector off the lower sub-board (daughterboard).

    Disconnect the Coaxial Cable

    Gently pry the antenna coaxial cable connector straight off the daughterboard using precision tweezers.

    Pry Up the Microphone Board

    Insert a spudger under the edge of the daughterboard (which holds the primary microphone) and carefully pry it out of the frame.

    Position the New Daughterboard

    Place the new daughterboard containing the replacement microphone into its recessed slot at the bottom of the chassis.

    Reconnect Interconnect and Antenna Cables

    Align and press the main interconnect flex connector and the antenna coaxial cable back onto the new daughterboard until they snap into place.

    Reinstall the Loudspeaker

    Set the loudspeaker housing back into position over the daughterboard and secure it with its Phillips screws.

    Reconnect the Battery

    Align the battery press connector over its motherboard socket and press firmly to reconnect power.

    Reattach the Midframe Bezel

    Align the plastic midframe over the phone and press down firmly around the edges until all clips snap closed.

    Fasten the Midframe Screws

    Reinstall and tighten all Phillips #000 screws securing the midframe panel.

    Apply New Back Cover Adhesive

    Clean remaining adhesive residue from the frame with isopropyl alcohol, then apply new pre-cut adhesive strips around the perimeter.

    Seal the Back Cover

    Align the back cover with the body, press firmly along all edges, and reinsert the SIM card tray.
