   Power off the phone

   Press and hold the Power button, then tap Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is fully shut down before proceeding.

   Remove the SIM card tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole next to the SIM tray on the left edge. Push firmly to eject the tray and remove it.

   Heat the back cover

   Apply heat evenly around the outer edges of the back cover using a heat gun or hair dryer for about 2 minutes. This softens the adhesive securing the rear panel.

   Attach a suction cup

   Press a suction cup firmly onto the lower third of the rear back cover. Ensure a tight seal with the smooth surface.

   Create an opening gap

   Pull upward on the suction cup to create a slight gap between the frame and the back panel. Insert a plastic opening pick into the gap.

   Slice through perimeter adhesive

   Slide the plastic pick along all four edges of the phone to cut through the glue. Reapply heat if the pick meets heavy resistance.

   Lift off the back cover

   Gently lift the back cover off the chassis. Set it aside on a clean workspace mat.

   Unscrew the speaker assembly

   Use a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the lower speaker assembly. Place the screws in a organizer tray.

   Remove the speaker module

   Insert a spudger under the edge of the speaker module and pry it up carefully. Lift the speaker out and set it aside.

    Disconnect the battery cable

    Locate the mainboard shield at the top and unclip the battery press-connector using a flat plastic spudger. Disconnecting power prevents short circuits during repair.

    Disconnect the interconnect cable

    Use the flat end of a spudger to pry up the main interconnect flex connector from the charging port sub-board.

    Disconnect the antenna cables

    Gently pry up the coaxial antenna cable head from the sub-board using precision tweezers. Be careful not to damage the fragile connector socket.

    Remove the sub-board screw

    Remove the single Phillips #000 screw securing the charging port sub-board to the frame housing.

    Remove the damaged charging port sub-board

    Insert a spudger underneath the charging port sub-board and gently pry it out of the frame chassis.

    Position the new charging port sub-board

    Align the replacement sub-board into the lower recess of the frame. Press down gently until it sits flat.

    Secure the new sub-board

    Reinstall and tighten the single Phillips #000 screw to fasten the new charging port board to the chassis.

    Reconnect the antenna cable

    Align the coaxial antenna connector over its socket on the new sub-board and press straight down until it snaps in place.

    Reconnect the interconnect flex cable

    Align the main interconnect flex connector over the sub-board port and press down gently until you hear a click.

    Press the battery flex connector back onto the motherboard socket until secured.

    Position the speaker assembly

    Place the speaker module back over the lower chassis alignment posts and press down into position.

    Tighten speaker assembly screws

    Reinstall all Phillips #000 screws into the speaker assembly until snug.

    Apply new adhesive

    Clean off old adhesive remnants using isopropyl alcohol, then apply new pre-cut adhesive strips along the perimeter frame.

    Reattach the back cover

    Align the back cover with the frame and press firmly around all edges to seal the adhesive.

    Reinsert the SIM tray

    Slide the SIM card tray back into its slot on the side of the device, then power on the phone to test charging.
