   Power off the device

   Press and hold the Power and Volume Up buttons simultaneously, then select Power Off. Ensure the phone is completely shut down before proceeding.

   Remove the SIM card tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the pinhole on the bottom edge of the device. Push firmly until the tray pops out, then remove it.

   Heat the rear glass panel

   Apply a heat gun or iOpener to the perimeter of the back cover for 2 to 3 minutes. This softens the adhesive securing the glass to the frame.

   Slice the back cover adhesive

   Attach a suction cup near the bottom edge and pull upward to create a thin gap. Insert an opening pick and slice along all edges to sever the adhesive.

   Detach the rear glass

   Carefully lift the back cover off the chassis. Place it on a clean surface out of the work area.

   Unscrew the upper motherboard shield

   Remove the ten Phillips #00 screws securing the motherboard cover and camera bracket to the chassis. Store the screws safely for reassembly.

   Remove the motherboard shield

   Pry up the edges of the plastic motherboard cover using a spudger. Lift the cover off and set it aside.

   Disconnect the battery cable

   Use the flat end of a plastic spudger to pry the battery connector straight up from its socket. Disconnecting power prevents electrical damage during logic board handling.

   Disconnect remaining flex cables

   Pry up the main interconnect cable, display flex cable, and antenna coaxial connectors from the board. Gently bend the loose cables back out of the way.

    Remove the camera modules

    Disconnect the front-facing and rear camera press connectors from the logic board. Lift the cameras out of their recesses and store them in a clean area.

    Unfasten the logic board screw

    Remove the single Phillips #00 screw holding the bottom left corner of the logic board to the frame. Verify all flex cables are clear of the board.

    Extract the logic board

    Gently pry up the motherboard from the lower edge using a spudger. Tilt the board up and pull it out of the phone body.

    Inspect the logic board

    Examine the board under magnification for cracked solder joints, liquid damage, or shorted surface components. Clean any residue with 99% isopropyl alcohol.

    Reflow or solder components

    Apply flux to targeted solder pads and use a fine-tip soldering iron or hot air station to repair broken connections or replace faulty SMD components. Allow the board to cool fully.

    Reinstall the logic board

    Lower the logic board back into the frame top-first to clear the top ports. Secure it with the single Phillips retaining screw.

    Reconnect cameras and flex cables

    Reinstall the front and rear cameras into their slots and press their connectors into place. Reattach the display, main interconnect, antenna cables, and finally the battery connector.

    Secure the motherboard shield

    Position the plastic motherboard cover over the upper board section. Reinstall and tighten the ten Phillips #00 screws.

    Reseal the back glass

    Apply new pre-cut adhesive strips along the housing perimeter. Align the rear glass cover over the phone and press firmly along all edges to seal.
