   Power Off Device

   Press and hold the power button, then select Power Off on the screen to completely shut down the phone.

   Eject SIM Card Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the small hole on the bottom edge to release and remove the SIM tray.

   Heat Back Cover

   Apply a heat gun or hair dryer around the outer edges of the glass back cover for 2 to 3 minutes to soften the adhesive.

   Attach Suction Cup

   Press a suction cup firmly onto the lower portion of the rear glass cover and pull up gently to form a small seam.

   Insert Opening Pick

   Insert a plastic opening pick into the seam created near the bottom edge.

   Slice Back Cover Adhesive

   Slide the pick carefully around all four edges of the back glass to slice through the adhesive seal.

   Lift Off Back Cover

   Carefully lift the rear glass cover off the chassis and store it in a safe area.

   Unscrew Speaker Assembly

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove all screws securing the lower speaker module over the charging board.

   Remove Speaker Assembly

   Insert the flat end of a spudger under the speaker module and lift it out of the frame.

    Unscrew Motherboard Cover

    Remove the Phillips #00 screws holding the plastic shield over the upper motherboard.

    Remove Motherboard Cover

    Pry up and remove the plastic motherboard shield to access the internal connectors.

    Disconnect Battery Cable

    Use a plastic spudger to disconnect the battery press connector straight up from the mainboard.

    Disconnect Interconnect Cable

    Pry up the lower connector of the main interconnect ribbon cable from the daughterboard.

    Disconnect Antenna Cables

    Use tweezers to carefully unsnap the white and black coaxial antenna cables from the daughterboard.

    Remove Daughterboard Screw

    Remove the remaining Phillips #00 screw securing the daughterboard to the lower frame.

    Pry Out Daughterboard

    Gently insert a spudger under the charging port daughterboard and pry it out of the phone frame.

    Install New Daughterboard

    Position the new charging port daughterboard into the frame recess until it sits flush.

    Secure Daughterboard Screw

    Reinstall and tighten the Phillips #00 screw to fasten the new daughterboard.

    Reconnect Antenna Cables

    Align and carefully snap the coaxial antenna cables onto their round metallic headers on the board.

    Reconnect Interconnect Cable

    Align the interconnect ribbon connector over its socket on the daughterboard and press down firmly until it snaps into place.

    Reconnect Battery Cable

    Snap the battery flex connector back onto the upper motherboard.

    Reinstall Motherboard Cover

    Place the upper motherboard shield back into position and tighten its Phillips #00 screws.

    Reinstall Speaker Assembly

    Place the speaker assembly over the new daughterboard and secure it with the remaining screws.

    Apply Back Cover Adhesive

    Clean remaining adhesive from the frame with isopropyl alcohol and lay down pre-cut adhesive strips.

    Reattach Back Cover

    Align the glass back cover with the phone frame and press firmly along the perimeter to set the seal.
