   Eject the SIM Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole beside the SIM tray on the left edge of the phone. Press firmly until the tray pops out and remove it.

   Heat the Rear Cover

   Apply heat from a heat gun around the perimeter of the back cover for 2 minutes to soften the adhesive holding it to the frame.

   Create an Opening Gap

   Press a suction cup onto the lower half of the rear cover and pull upward gently to create a small gap along the bottom seam.

   Unclip the Rear Cover

   Insert a plastic opening pick into the seam and slide it around all edges to disengage the internal plastic clips.

   Disconnect the Fingerprint Cable

   Slightly lift the rear cover and use a spudger to pry the fingerprint sensor flex cable connector off the motherboard.

   Unscrew the Motherboard Cover

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the eleven screws securing the upper motherboard protective cover.

   Remove the Motherboard Cover

   Pry up the edges of the upper plastic cover with a spudger and lift it off the device.

   Disconnect the Battery Cable

   Insert the flat end of a spudger under the battery flex connector and pop it straight up from the motherboard socket.

   Unscrew the Loudspeaker

   Remove the six Phillips #00 screws holding the lower speaker assembly in place at the bottom of the phone.

    Remove the Loudspeaker Module

    Use a plastic pick to pry the bottom loudspeaker module up and out of the phone chassis.

    Disconnect the Display Cable

    Use a spudger to unclip the main display flex cable from the motherboard.

    Heat the Front Display

    Warm all four edges of the front glass with a heat gun for 3 minutes to soften the screen adhesive.

    Slice the Screen Adhesive

    Attach a suction cup to the lower front glass and insert a thin opening pick between the display bezel and the housing.

    Remove the Damaged Screen

    Slide the pick around all sides of the glass to slice through adhesive, then carefully feed the flex cable out of the frame as you lift the screen away.

    Clean the Frame Perimeter

    Scrape off all remaining broken glass and glue remnants using a spudger, then wipe the frame lip clean with isopropyl alcohol.

    Apply New Frame Adhesive

    Lay double-sided adhesive strips along the top, bottom, and side perimeter lips of the phone frame.

    Seat the New Display Assembly

    Thread the new screen flex cable through the slot in the frame and carefully press the display panel flush into the housing.

    Press the display flex connector directly down into its socket on the motherboard until it clicks into place.

    Reconnect the Battery Cable

    Align the battery flex connector over its socket and press firmly to reconnect power.

    Reinstall the Internal Covers

    Position the loudspeaker module and upper motherboard cover, then reinstall all Phillips #00 screws.

    Connect the Fingerprint Cable

    Hold the rear cover close to the body and press the fingerprint sensor flex cable connector back onto the motherboard.

    Snap On the Rear Cover

    Align the rear cover with the phone body and press firmly along the perimeter until all clips snap securely.

    Reinsert the SIM Tray

    Slide the SIM card tray back into the slot on the left edge of the device until it sits flush.
