Turn off the device

2 minGently lift the back cover off, taking care not to strain the fingerprint sensor flex cable. Use a plastic spudger to pry up and disconnect the fingerprint sensor press connector from the motherboard.

Unbolt the speaker housing screws
3 minUse a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the seven Phillips screws securing the bottom loudspeaker assembly to the phone frame.

Pry out the original loudspeaker module
2 minInsert the flat end of a plastic spudger underneath the edge of the lower speaker assembly. Pry upward gently to unclip and remove the loudspeaker module.

Clean residual adhesive from speaker recess
2 minInspect the speaker recess for dust or leftover adhesive gaskets. Use tweezers or a cotton swab dampened with isopropyl alcohol to clear away any debris.

Position the new loudspeaker module
2 minAlign the replacement loudspeaker module over the lower sub-board recess. Press down firmly along its edges until it sits flush against the frame.

Secure speaker housing screws
3 minReinstall the seven Phillips screws into the loudspeaker assembly using a Phillips #00 screwdriver until snug.

Attach fingerprint sensor cable
2 minHold the back cover near the phone chassis and align the fingerprint flex connector over its socket. Press down firmly with a spudger until it snaps into place.

Snap rear cover back on
3 minAlign the rear cover with the phone body. Press firmly around all edges until all plastic clips snap securely into place.

Reinsert the SIM tray
