Turn Off the Device

Eject the SIM Card Tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject pin into the hole on the left edge of the phone to release and remove the SIM tray.

3 minUse a heat gun or hair dryer along the perimeter of the back cover for two minutes to soften the adhesive.

Attach a Suction Cup

2 minPry up the ribbon cable that crosses over the battery to clear the path for battery removal.

Apply Isopropyl Alcohol
2 minApply a few drops of high-concentration isopropyl alcohol along the side edges of the battery to weaken the glue.

Release the Battery Adhesive
3 minLocate the adhesive pull-tabs and pull them out slowly at a low angle to avoid snapping them.

Pry Out the Old Battery
3 minInsert a flat plastic prying tool under the battery and lift carefully to separate it from the recess.

2 minApply fresh adhesive strips to the frame, then press the new battery into place until firmly seated.
