Power Off the Device
1 minPress and hold the power button, then tap Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is completely powered down before starting.

Remove the SIM Card Tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the hole beside the SIM tray on the left edge. Press firmly to eject the tray and pull it out of the phone.

Heat the Back Cover
2 minApply mild heat with a heat gun or hair dryer around the perimeter of the back cover for two minutes to soften the adhesive seal.

Attach Suction Cup
1 minPlace a suction cup near the bottom edge of the back panel. Pull upward gently on the handle to create a small opening between the panel and frame.

Insert Opening Pick
2 minInsert the tip of a plastic opening pick into the gap created at the bottom edge. Keep the pick flat to avoid damaging internal components.

Slice Perimeter Adhesive
3 minSlide the pick carefully along all four sides of the phone to cut through the factory adhesive. Reapply heat briefly if you feel resistance.

Lift the Back Cover

3 minRemove the Phillips #000 screws securing the bottom loudspeaker assembly to the main frame.

Remove Old Loudspeaker
2 minInsert the flat tip of a spudger under the edge of the loudspeaker housing and lift it out of the chassis.

Clean Speaker Recess
2 minInspect the speaker recess for dust and debris. Gently clean the copper spring contact pads with a cotton swab lightly dampened with isopropyl alcohol.

Install New Loudspeaker
2 minAlign the replacement loudspeaker module with the bottom cavity and press it into place until it sits flat.

Secure Speaker Screws
2 minReinstall the Phillips #000 screws to fasten the loudspeaker module down securely. Do not overtighten.

Reconnect Fingerprint Cable
