Power Off the Device

1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the hole next to the tray on the left side of the phone. Push firmly to eject the tray and remove it completely.

Slice the Rear Adhesive
4 minInsert an opening pick into the gap created by the suction cup. Slide the pick along all sides to slice through the adhesive seal.

Disconnect the Fingerprint Sensor
2 minCarefully lift the rear cover slightly from the left edge. Use a spudger to detach the fingerprint sensor flex cable from the motherboard before removing the cover completely.

Remove the Rear Cover

Unscrew the Loudspeaker Module
3 minUse a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the seven screws securing the lower plastic loudspeaker assembly.

Pry Up the Loudspeaker Module
2 minInsert the flat end of a spudger under the top edge of the loudspeaker assembly. Gently pry up to unclip it from the bottom frame.

Clean the Contact Pads
2 minInspect the contact spring pins on the daughterboard beneath the speaker. Lightly clean them with isopropyl alcohol and a cotton swab.

Install the New Loudspeaker
2 minAlign the replacement loudspeaker assembly over the bottom section of the phone frame. Press down firmly until it snaps into position.

Secure the Loudspeaker Screws
3 minReinsert and tighten the seven Phillips #00 screws to hold the loudspeaker housing firmly in place.

Reconnect the Fingerprint Cable
2 minPosition the back cover close to the phone and use tweezers or a spudger to press the fingerprint sensor flex connector onto the motherboard socket.

Apply Rear Cover Adhesive
