Step-by-step

Power off and remove SIM tray

1 minPry up the battery press connector using a plastic spudger to cut all power to the logic board.

2 minUnplug the display flex cable, main interconnect cable, and the coax antenna cable from the logic board.

Remove the camera modules
2 minDisconnect the front and rear camera flex connectors, then lift the camera modules out of their recessed housings.

Extract the logic board
2 minGently lever the top edge of the logic board upward with a spudger and lift it out of the phone body.

Clean and reflow target components
10 minClean the target area with 99% isopropyl alcohol, apply flux, and carefully reflow or resolder the affected logic board trace.

Reinstall the logic board
2 minLower the repaired logic board back into the frame, aligning the ports with the top edge of the housing.

Reconnect internal components
3 minReattach the camera modules, display flex, interconnect cable, antenna cable, and finally the battery connector.

Reattach the cover and test
4 minSnap the fingerprint sensor flex back into place, screw down the motherboard bracket, and press the rear cover firmly into position.
