   Power Off the Device

   Press and hold the power button, then tap Power Off on the screen to completely shut down the device.

   Eject the SIM Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool or paperclip into the hole next to the tray on the left edge and push to eject it.

   Warm the Back Cover Edges

   Apply mild heat with a heat gun or hair dryer around the perimeter of the back panel for about two minutes to soften the adhesive.

   Attach a Suction Cup

   Place a suction cup onto the lower portion of the back cover and pull gently upwards to create a small gap.

   Insert an Opening Pick

   Slide a plastic opening pick into the gap created between the back cover and the midframe.

   Slice perimeter adhesive

   Slide the pick carefully around all four sides to unclip the plastic clips and sever the adhesive bonds.

   Disconnect the Fingerprint Sensor Cable

   Slightly lift the back cover, then use a spudger to disconnect the fingerprint sensor flex cable from the motherboard.

   Remove the Back Cover

   Lift the rear cover away from the phone completely and set it aside on your work mat.

   Unscrew the Speaker Cover

   Use a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the seven screws securing the lower speaker housing.

    Remove the Speaker Module

    Insert the flat end of a spudger beneath the corner of the speaker module and lift it out.

    Disconnect the Interconnect Flex Cable

    Use a spudger to carefully pry the main interconnect flex cable off the sub-board connector.

    Disconnect the Antenna Cable

    Use precision tweezers to lift the coaxial antenna cable head straight up from the charging board socket.

    Pry Out the Damaged Charging Board

    Gently wedge a spudger underneath the charging sub-board to free it from the adhesive underneath.

    Position the New Charging Board

    Align the replacement sub-board into the lower housing recess and press down lightly to seat it.

    Reconnect the Antenna Cable

    Position the coaxial antenna connector over its socket and gently press down until it snaps in place.

    Reconnect the Interconnect Flex Cable

    Align the main interconnect cable over the sub-board terminal and press straight down until it clicks.

    Set the Speaker Module in Place

    Lower the speaker assembly over the charging board and push down until it sits flush.

    Secure the Speaker Module Screws

    Reinstall and tighten the seven Phillips #000 screws to firmly hold the speaker module in place.

    Reconnect the Fingerprint Sensor Cable

    Hold the back cover near the chassis and reattach the fingerprint sensor cable connector to the motherboard.

    Snap On the Back Cover

    Align the rear panel with the frame and press firmly along all edges until all clips snap closed.

    Reinsert the SIM Tray

    Slide the SIM card tray back into its slot on the side of the phone until it sits flush.
