   Power Off Device

   Press and hold the power button until the option appears, then tap Power Off to safely shut down the phone.

   Eject SIM Tray

   Insert a SIM eject pin into the small hole on the left edge of the phone to pop out the SIM tray.

   Heat Back Cover

   Apply heat with a hair dryer or heat gun around the perimeter of the back cover for two minutes to soften the internal adhesive.

   Attach Suction Cup

   Press a suction cup firmly onto the lower portion of the rear plastic panel to create leverage.

   Insert Opening Pick

   Pull up gently on the suction cup and slide an opening pick into the seam between the rear cover and the frame.

   Slice Edge Adhesive

   Slide the pick along the bottom and side edges to disengage the plastic retention clips and slice through adhesive.

   Unclip Top Edge

   Carefully pry around the top corners using your pick to release the final plastic clips.

   Open Rear Cover

   Lift the rear cover from the right side like a book page. Do not pull it completely away yet.

   Unscrew Motherboard Cover

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove all screws holding down the top plastic motherboard shield.

    Lift Motherboard Cover

    Pry up the plastic motherboard shield using a spudger and remove it from the device.

    Disconnect Fingerprint Sensor

    Use a plastic spudger to pop the fingerprint sensor flex cable connector straight off the motherboard.

    Separate Rear Cover

    Remove the rear cover fully now that the sensor cable is disconnected and set it aside.

    Disconnect Battery Cable

    Pry up the battery press connector from its socket on the motherboard using a plastic spudger to cut power.

    Warm Screen Assembly

    Flip the phone face-up and heat the middle of the display screen briefly to help soften the battery adhesive underneath.

    Locate Adhesive Pull Tabs

    Find the exposed adhesive pull tab edges located along the top or side of the battery cell.

    Apply Isopropyl Alcohol

    Drip a few drops of high-concentration isopropyl alcohol under the edges of the battery to help break down the glue.

    Lever Out Battery

    Insert a flat plastic card beneath the battery and slowly pry up from the sides until it releases from the frame.

    Remove Old Battery

    Lift the depleted battery out of the frame chassis completely.

    Clean Battery Recess

    Wipe away remaining adhesive residue inside the battery recess using isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth.

    Apply New Adhesive

    Position and press replacement double-sided battery adhesive strips into the battery recess.

    Install Replacement Battery

    Set the new battery into the housing and press firmly across its surface to seat it against the adhesive.

    Connect Battery Cable

    Align and press the battery connector straight down onto its motherboard terminal until it clicks.

    Connect Fingerprint Sensor

    Snap the fingerprint reader flex cable connector back onto the motherboard.

    Reinstall Motherboard Shield

    Place the top plastic motherboard shield over the motherboard and tighten all Phillips #00 screws.

    Snap On Back Cover

    Align the rear panel with the phone frame and press firmly along all edges until all clips snap tight.

    Reinsert SIM Tray

    Push the SIM card tray back into its slot on the side of the phone until flush.
