   Power Off Phone

   Press and hold the Power button, then select Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is completely powered down before proceeding.

   Eject SIM Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the pinhole on the bottom frame. Push firmly inward to eject the SIM tray and remove it completely.

   Heat Back Cover

   Use a heat gun or hair dryer to warm the perimeter of the back cover for two to three minutes. This softens the adhesive securing the rear panel.

   Attach Suction Cup

   Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the rear panel. Pull upward gently on the ring to create a slight gap between the cover and the frame.

   Slice Rear Adhesive

   Insert a plastic prying tool into the gap created by the suction cup. Carefully slide the tool around all four edges to cut through the frame adhesive.

   Remove Back Cover

   Lift the back cover off the chassis carefully. Set the rear panel aside in a clean area.

   Unscrew Speaker Housing

   Use a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the lower loudspeaker assembly to the frame.

   Remove Speaker Housing

   Insert a spudger beneath the loudspeaker housing and lift it out of the lower chassis frame.

   Disconnect Battery Cable

   Use a plastic spudger to gently pry up the battery flex cable connector from its mainboard socket to prevent electrical shorts.

    Disconnect Sub-Board Flex Cable

    Pry up the main interconnect ribbon cable connector from the daughterboard at the bottom of the device.

    Unclip Antenna Coaxial Cable

    Use fine tweezers to gently lift the signal antenna cable connector straight up off its board terminal.

    Pry Out Microphone Sub-Board

    Insert a flat spudger under the edge of the sub-board containing the primary microphone. Carefully pry it up to unseat it from the frame.

    Clean Recess Adhesive

    Apply a small amount of high-grade isopropyl alcohol to a swab and clean away old adhesive or debris from the microphone recess.

    Install Replacement Sub-Board

    Align the new sub-board containing the fresh microphone module into the bottom recess and press down lightly to seat it.

    Attach Antenna Cable

    Snap the antenna coaxial cable head back onto the small circular connector terminal on the sub-board using tweezers.

    Reconnect Main Flex Cable

    Press the sub-board interconnect ribbon cable connector firmly onto the new daughterboard socket until it snaps into place.

    Reconnect Battery Cable

    Align and press the battery flex cable connector firmly back onto the motherboard.

    Reinstall Speaker Housing

    Place the loudspeaker cover back over the sub-board and reinsert the Phillips screws tightly.

    Apply Pre-Cut Rear Adhesive

    Apply a new pre-cut adhesive gasket along the outer edge perimeter of the phone frame.

    Seal Rear Cover

    Align the back cover over the frame and press firmly along all edges for 30 seconds to re-establish a secure seal.
