   Turn Off the Phone

   Press and hold the Power button, then select Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is completely powered down before proceeding.

   Remove the SIM Card Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole next to the SIM tray on the bottom frame. Press firmly until the tray pops out, then pull it out of the device.

   Heat the Back Cover

   Apply a heat gun or hairdryer around the outer edges of the back panel for two minutes. This softens the perimeter adhesive securing the cover.

   Attach Suction Cup

   Press a suction cup firmly onto the lower portion of the heated back cover. Pull upward on the ring to create a small seam between the cover and frame.

   Insert Opening Pick

   Insert a thin plastic opening pick into the seam created by the suction cup. Keep the pick shallow to avoid damaging internal ribbon cables.

   Slice Perimeter Adhesive

   Slide the plastic pick along all four edges of the back cover to cut through the adhesive layer. Reapply heat if the pick meets heavy resistance.

   Lift Off the Back Cover

   Gently lift the back cover off the chassis and set it aside. Inspect the interior frame for any detached foam padding or remaining adhesive strips.

   Unbolt Upper Motherboard Shield

   Use a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the screws holding the upper plastic motherboard cover. Place the screws in an organized tray.

   Remove Upper Protective Shield

   Insert a spudger under the edge of the upper plastic shield and lift it off the motherboard. Set the shield aside.

    Disconnect the Battery Cable

    Use the flat end of a plastic spudger to pry the battery flex connector straight up from its motherboard socket. This prevents electrical shorts.

    Unbolt Lower Speaker Housing

    Remove the Phillips screws securing the lower speaker assembly over the sub-board. Keep these screws separate from the upper shield screws.

    Remove Speaker Module

    Pry up the lower speaker module with a spudger tool and remove it from the lower chassis. This exposes the charging port daughterboard.

    Disconnect Interconnect Flex Cable

    Pry up the main interconnect flex cable connector attached to the top edge of the daughterboard. Fold the cable back slightly.

    Disconnect Antenna Coaxial Cable

    Use precision tweezers to unclip the antenna coaxial cable from the daughterboard. Lift straight up to prevent damaging the tiny connector head.

    Pry Up Charging Port Board

    Gently wedge a spudger under the edge of the charging port daughterboard and lever it out of the phone frame. Remove the old board.

    Position New Charging Port Board

    Place the replacement charging port daughterboard into the lower recess of the chassis. Press down lightly to seat the USB-C port fully into its slot.

    Reconnect Antenna Cable

    Align the coaxial antenna head over its socket on the new sub-board. Press down gently until it snaps securely into place.

    Attach Interconnect Flex Cable

    Align the main flex connector over the sub-board receptacle and press firmly until you feel a click. Verify the connector lies flush.

    Reconnect Battery Cable

    Press the battery flex cable connector back onto its motherboard terminal until it snaps into place.

    Reinstall Speaker Assembly and Covers

    Place the lower speaker housing and upper plastic shield back onto the chassis. Fasten all Phillips screws securely into their original locations.

    Apply Fresh Back Cover Adhesive

    Clean remaining adhesive off the frame using isopropyl alcohol, then apply new adhesive strips along the perimeter. Press the back cover down tightly.

    Reinsert SIM Card Tray
