   Power off the phone

   Press and hold the power button, then tap Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is completely shut down before starting.

   Remove the SIM tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the pinhole on the upper left edge of the phone. Push firmly to eject the SIM tray and remove it.

   Heat the rear panel

   Use a heat gun or hairdryer to heat the outer edges of the rear panel for 2 to 3 minutes. This softens the factory adhesive underneath.

   Attach the suction cup

   Press a suction cup onto the lower portion of the rear glass near the charging port. Pull up gently on the suction cup to create a small gap.

   Insert an opening pick

   Insert a thin plastic opening pick into the gap created under the rear panel. Keep the pick shallow to avoid damaging internal components.

   Slice perimeter adhesive

   Slide the plastic pick along all four edges of the back panel to cut through the adhesive seal completely.

   Remove the back cover

   Lift the rear cover straight up and off the phone chassis. Set the back panel aside safely.

   Unscrew the plastic midframe

   Remove the 16 Phillips #00 screws securing the plastic midframe to the chassis.

   Disconnect the fingerprint sensor

   Use a plastic spudger to gently pop the power button fingerprint sensor ribbon cable off its motherboard socket.

    Detach the midframe

    Pry around the perimeter of the plastic midframe using an opening tool to unclip it from the body.

    Disconnect the battery cable

    Locate the battery connector on the motherboard and use a plastic spudger to disconnect it. Disconnecting power prevents short circuits.

    Use a spudger to disconnect the main display flex cable from the motherboard.

    Heat the display assembly

    Apply heat across the front screen edges with a heat gun for 2 to 3 minutes to loosen the screen adhesive.

    Place a suction cup on the glass, insert an opening pick beneath the screen frame, and slice around the edges to loosen the display.

    Separate screen ribbon

    Thread the screen flex cable carefully out through the slot in the phone chassis as you pull the screen away.

    Use tweezers and 99% isopropyl alcohol to remove all leftover adhesive and broken glass fragments from the display ledge.

    Apply fresh screen adhesive

    Apply custom cut double-sided adhesive strips along the inner rim of the phone frame.

    Install the new screen

    Feed the new screen's flex cable through the frame slot and press the glass firmly into the prepared frame.

    Reconnect cables and reassemble

    Plug in the display and battery cables, reinstall the midframe and fingerprint ribbon, and re-secure all 16 Phillips screws.
