   Remove the SIM tray

   Insert a SIM eject pin into the hole on the left edge of the phone to eject the SIM tray. Remove the tray completely.

   Heat the back cover

   Apply heat around the perimeter of the back panel for 2 to 3 minutes using a heat gun or hairdryer to soften the adhesive.

   Attach the suction cup

   Press a suction cup near the bottom edge of the back panel and pull gently upward to create a small gap.

   Insert an opening pick

   Slide a plastic opening pick into the gap created between the back panel and the phone frame.

   Slice the rear adhesive

   Slide the pick around all four edges of the back panel to separate the adhesive. Take care not to insert the pick too deeply.

   Remove the back cover

   Carefully lift the back cover off the chassis and set it aside on a clean work surface.

   Unscrew the lower speaker housing

   Use a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the bottom speaker assembly.

   Pry off the speaker module

   Insert the tip of a spudger under the edge of the speaker module and gently lift it out of the chassis.

   Disconnect the interconnect flex cable

   Use a plastic spudger to gently pry up and disconnect the main interconnect cable from the charging port board.

    Disconnect the antenna cable

    Use fine tweezers to carefully unclip the coaxial RF antenna cable from its connector on the sub-board.

    Remove the charging port board screw

    Remove the single Phillips screw securing the charging port daughterboard to the phone frame.

    Pry out the old daughterboard

    Lever the flat end of a spudger beneath the charging port sub-board and lift it out of its housing.

    Position the replacement sub-board

    Place the new charging port daughterboard into the lower recess of the phone frame, pressing it gently into place.

    Secure the new sub-board

    Insert and tighten the Phillips screw to fix the new charging port board to the frame.

    Reconnect the antenna cable

    Align the coaxial antenna cable head with its socket on the new board and snap it down firmly.

    Attach the interconnect flex cable

    Press the interconnect flex cable connector down onto the sub-board until it snaps into place.

    Reinstall the speaker housing

    Set the lower speaker module back into position over the charging port sub-board assembly.

    Tighten the speaker screws

    Reinsert and securely tighten all Phillips screws holding the speaker module in place.

    Clean old adhesive

    Scrape off residual adhesive from the frame and back cover using isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth.

    Apply new adhesive and seal

    Place pre-cut adhesive strips along the frame perimeter, then align the back cover and press down firmly to seal.

    Reinsert the SIM tray

    Push the SIM card tray back into its slot on the left side of the device until it sits flush.
