   Power Off the Device

   Press and hold the Power button, then tap Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is fully shut down before starting.

   Eject the SIM Card Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool or paperclip into the small hole on the left edge of the phone. Push firmly to pop out the tray and set it aside.

   Heat the Rear Cover

   Apply heat from a heat gun or hair dryer around the edges of the back cover for 2 to 3 minutes. This softens the perimeter adhesive seal.

   Attach the Suction Cup

   Press a suction cup onto the lower end of the rear panel. Pull upward with steady pressure to create a small gap between the panel and the frame.

   Insert an Opening Pick

   Slide a thin plastic opening pick into the gap created by the suction cup. Do not insert the pick deeper than 3 mm to prevent damaging internal components.

   Slice Around the Perimeter

   Glide the opening pick along all four edges of the back panel to separate the adhesive. Reapply heat if the pick meets heavy resistance.

   Remove the Rear Cover

   Lift the rear cover away from the housing once the adhesive is fully separated. Set the back panel aside on a clean surface.

   Unscrew the Midframe Cover

   Use a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove all screws securing the plastic motherboard frame. Keep the screws organized by location.

   Unclip the Motherboard Cover

   Insert a spudger under the plastic motherboard cover edges and gently lift to unclip it. Remove the cover from the phone.

    Disconnect the Battery Cable

    Use the edge of a plastic spudger to pry the battery press connector straight up from its motherboard socket. Never use metal tools for this step.

    Disconnect the Interconnect Cable

    Pry up the main display/interconnect ribbon cable crossing over the battery. Bend the cable back slightly to keep it out of the working area.

    Apply Isopropyl Alcohol

    Apply a few drops of high-concentration isopropyl alcohol around the outer edges of the battery. Wait 2 minutes for the liquid to soften the glue beneath.

    Pull the Battery Release Tabs

    Locate the adhesive pull tabs on the battery. Pull each tab outward slowly and at a flat angle to stretch out the adhesive strips.

    Pry Out the Battery

    Insert a flat plastic card or wide spudger under the battery edge and gently lever it out of the recess. Remove the degraded battery.

    Clean Residual Adhesive

    Scrape remaining glue out of the battery well using a plastic tool. Wipe the area with isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth.

    Apply Fresh Battery Adhesive

    Place new double-sided battery adhesive strips onto the back of the replacement battery. Peel away the protective backing film.

    Install the Replacement Battery

    Position the new battery in the frame cavity and press it firmly into place. Ensure the battery flex cable easily reaches the motherboard socket.

    Reconnect the Cables

    Align and press down on the main interconnect ribbon cable, followed by the battery connector, until both snap firmly into place.

    Reinstall the Motherboard Cover

    Set the motherboard cover back onto the upper frame and press along the edges to clip it down. Drive all saved Phillips screws back into place.

    Reseal the Back Cover

    Apply pre-cut adhesive tape along the frame perimeter, align the rear cover, and press firmly all around the outer edges to re-seal the phone.

    Reinsert the SIM Tray

    Slide the SIM card tray back into its slot on the side of the phone until it sits flush against the frame.
