Remove SIM Card Tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the pinhole on the left edge of the phone. Pull the tray out completely.

Heat Back Cover Edges
3 minWarm the outer edges of the rear panel with a heat gun for two minutes to soften the internal adhesive.

Attach Suction Cup
2 minPlace a suction cup on the lower third of the rear panel and gently pull upward to create a small gap.

Insert Opening Pick
2 minSlide a plastic opening pick into the gap between the rear cover and the frame.

Slice Rear Adhesive
4 minSlide the pick around all sides of the rear panel to cut through the perimeter adhesive tape.

Disconnect Fingerprint Reader
3 minPivot the back cover open slightly to avoid tearing the fingerprint flex cable. Pry the cable connector off the motherboard using a spudger.

4 minRemove the 11 Phillips #00 screws holding the black upper plastic frame shield in place.

2 minPry up the edges of the plastic motherboard cover and lift it away from the phone body.

3 minRemove the 7 Phillips #00 screws securing the bottom loudspeaker assembly.

2 minPry under the bottom edge of the speaker module and lift it out of the chassis.

Disconnect Sub-Board Flex
2 minPop the sub-board interconnect cable press connector off the lower circuit board.

Heat Front Display
3 minApply heat to the glass perimeter for 2 to 3 minutes to soften the display adhesive.

Attach Screen Suction Cup
2 minApply the suction cup to the lower front glass and pull up firmly to separate the display from the frame.

Slice Screen Adhesive
5 minInsert an opening pick under the glass edge and slice around all four sides of the display frame.

Remove Old Screen
3 minLift the front display panel off the chassis while carefully guiding its flex cable through the slot in the frame.

Clean Frame Lip
5 minScrape remaining adhesive and broken glass shards off the housing channel using tweezers and isopropyl alcohol.

4 minPlace the upper plastic cover over the motherboard and secure it with the 11 Phillips #00 screws.

Reconnect Fingerprint Reader
2 minHold the back cover near the chassis and press the fingerprint sensor flex cable onto its socket.

Seal Back Cover
3 minAlign the back cover with the frame and apply firm pressure along all edges to seat the adhesive.
