Eject SIM Card Tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the hole on the left edge of the phone and push firmly to pop out the tray.

Heat Back Panel
2 minApply heat around the rear perimeter of the Moto G8 for two minutes to soften the adhesive bond.

Slice Rear Adhesive
3 minInsert a plastic opening pick beneath the back cover edge and slide it around the perimeter to separate the adhesive.

3 minPosition the new power button flex cable into the side frame channel and press firmly to seat the adhesive.

Attach Power Cable Connector
1 minAlign and press the new power button flex connector onto its motherboard terminal until it clicks.

Reconnect Battery Cable
1 minPress the battery connector straight down onto its motherboard socket.

Reinstall Upper Midframe
2 minLower the midframe housing back onto the chassis and press down along the edges to align it.

Secure Midframe Screws
4 minThread and tighten the 14 Phillips #000 screws back into the internal housing.

Reconnect Fingerprint Cable
2 minHold the rear cover close and reattach the fingerprint sensor connector to the motherboard.

Reseal Rear Cover
2 minAlign the rear cover with the phone body and press firmly around all edges until it snaps securely shut.
