   Power off the device

   Press and hold the power button, then select Power Off on the screen. Ensure the phone is completely shut down before proceeding.

   Eject the SIM card tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole on the left side of the frame. Push inward firmly to eject the tray and remove it.

   Heat the rear cover

   Use a heat gun or hair dryer to warm the edges of the back cover for two minutes. This softens the adhesive securing the plastic panel.

   Apply a suction cup

   Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the back panel. Pull upward gently to create a small gap between the cover and the frame.

   Slice the back cover adhesive

   Insert a plastic opening pick into the gap created by the suction cup. Slide the pick around all four edges to sever the perimeter adhesive.

   Disconnect the fingerprint sensor

   Carefully lift the rear cover slightly, taking care not to strain the ribbon cable. Use a spudger to pop the fingerprint reader connector off the logic board.

   Unscrew the upper motherboard bracket

   Remove the Phillips #00 screws securing the plastic motherboard frame and camera bezel. Store the screws in an organized tray.

   Remove the upper cover bracket

   Insert a plastic spudger under the edge of the upper plastic frame cover. Gently pry up and lift the cover out of the phone.

   Disconnect the battery cable

   Use a plastic spudger to pry the battery press connector straight up from its socket on the logic board. This prevents accidental short circuits.

    Disconnect the display flex cable

    Locate the display ribbon cable on the lower right section of the motherboard. Use a spudger to detach the connector straight up.

    Disconnect the main interconnect cable

    Use the flat end of a spudger to unclip the main flex ribbon cable that connects the motherboard to the daughterboard.

    Unplug the antenna coaxial cable

    Grasp the antenna cable head with tweezers near the logic board connection. Carefully lift the connector straight up from the board socket.

    Disconnect the front camera

    Pry up the front-facing camera connector from the top left of the logic board. Remove the camera module and set it aside safely.

    Unscrew the logic board retaining screw

    Remove the single Phillips #00 screw securing the logic board assembly to the internal chassis.

    Insert a spudger underneath the bottom edge of the motherboard. Carefully tilt and lift the board out from the phone chassis.

    Install the replacement logic board

    Lower the new logic board into the chassis top-first, ensuring all camera cutouts and alignment posts fit snugly. Press gently until it sits flat.

    Reattach display and interconnect cables

    Align and snap the display flex cable and main interconnect cable back into their motherboard connectors.

    Reconnect the battery and upper bracket

    Press the battery connector down onto the motherboard, then reinstall the upper plastic shield and tighten all Phillips screws.

    Reattach the back cover

    Reconnect the fingerprint sensor cable to the logic board. Align the back cover over the body and press firmly along the edges to seal the adhesive.
