Power Off the Device
1 minPress and hold the power button, then tap Power Off on the screen. Ensure the phone is completely shut down before proceeding.

Eject the SIM Card Tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the hole beside the SIM tray on the left edge. Push firmly to pop the tray out and remove it.

Heat the Back Cover
2 minApply a heat gun or hair dryer around the perimeter of the back cover for 2 minutes. Softening the adhesive will make removing the back cover much easier.

Attach a Suction Cup
1 minPlace a suction cup onto the lower portion of the rear glass cover and press down to create a tight seal.

Slice the Perimeter Adhesive
3 minPull up on the suction cup to create a small gap, then insert an opening pick under the back cover. Slide the pick around all edges to slice the adhesive.

Unclip the Plastic Back Cover
2 minUse a plastic opening tool to gently pop the plastic clips releasing the back cover from the frame perimeter.

Slightly Lift the Back Cover
1 minCarefully lift the left edge of the back cover up like a book. Do not pull it away completely yet, as the fingerprint sensor cable is still connected.

Unscrew the Fingerprint Bracket
2 minUse a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the single screw securing the metal bracket over the fingerprint cable connector.

Remove the Metal Shield
1 minUse precision tweezers to lift the small metal bracket off the board and place it in a safe location.

Disconnect the Fingerprint Cable
1 minUse the flat end of a plastic spudger to pry the fingerprint reader flex cable press connector straight up from its socket.

Remove the Rear Cover
1 minLift the rear cover completely off the phone frame and set it aside.

Unscrew the Loudspeaker Assembly
3 minUse a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the seven screws securing the lower loudspeaker housing.

Pry Up the Loudspeaker Module
2 minInsert the tip of a spudger under the notch on the loudspeaker module and lever it up to remove it from the bottom of the device.

Disconnect the Interconnect Cable
1 minUse the flat tip of a spudger to disconnect the main ribbon flex cable from the charging daughterboard.

Disconnect the Antenna Coaxial Cable
2 minUse tweezers to carefully lift the white antenna cable head straight up off its snap connector on the charging board.

Remove the Daughterboard Screw
1 minUse a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the single black screw anchoring the charging port board to the phone body.

Pry Out the Faulty Charging Board
2 minInsert a spudger beneath the edge of the charging daughterboard and lift it out of its recessed slot.

Insert the Replacement Charging Board
2 minPlace the new charging port daughterboard into the bottom chassis slot, ensuring the USB-C port aligns with the frame cutout.

Fasten the Daughterboard Screw
1 minReinstall the single Phillips #00 screw to hold the charging board securely in place.

Reconnect the Antenna Cable
2 minAlign the antenna coaxial cable connector over its socket on the daughterboard and press down gently until it snaps into place.

Connect the Interconnect Cable
