   Eject the SIM Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole next to the tray on the left edge. Push firmly to pop the tray out, then remove it completely.

   Heat the Rear Cover

   Use a heat gun or hair dryer to gently warm the back cover for 2 minutes. This softened heat weakens the adhesive holding the plastic cover.

   Attach a Suction Cup

   Place a suction cup on the lower portion of the rear panel. Pull up firmly to create a tiny gap between the back cover and the frame.

   Insert a Plastic Pick

   Insert a plastic prying tool into the seam created by the suction cup. Slide it along the bottom edge to unclip the rear cover.

   Slice Edge Clips and Adhesive

   Carefully slide the plastic tool along the left, right, and top edges of the phone. Separate all perimeter plastic clips and adhesive.

   Lift Back Cover Gently

   Tilt open the back cover from the left edge like a book. Do not pull it away fully yet, as the fingerprint sensor cable is still connected.

   Disconnect Fingerprint Sensor

   Use a plastic spudger to pry the fingerprint sensor flex cable connector straight off the motherboard. Set the back cover aside.

   Unscrew Motherboard Cover

   Remove the nine Phillips #000 screws securing the top plastic motherboard shield. Organize screws to ensure correct reassembly.

    Remove Motherboard Cover

    Use tweezers or a spudger to lift the top plastic motherboard shield up and off the frame. Set the shield aside.

    Disconnect Battery Connector

    Use the flat end of a spudger to pry the battery press connector straight up from its socket. Disconnecting power prevents accidental electrical shorts.

    Apply Isopropyl Alcohol

    Apply a few drops of high-concentration isopropyl alcohol around the battery edges. Allow it to soak for 1 minute to break down the adhesive.

    Pull Battery Adhesive Strips

    Locate the adhesive pull tabs at the base of the battery using tweezers. Pull each tab out slowly at a low angle until the adhesive releases.

    Lever Out Old Battery

    Place new battery adhesive strips onto the bottom side of the replacement battery. Peel off the protective film backings.

    Align the new battery with the frame compartment and press down firmly. Ensure the battery flex cable easily reaches its motherboard socket.

    Reconnect Battery Connector

    Align the battery press connector directly over its motherboard socket and push down firmly until it clicks into place.

    Reinstall Motherboard Cover

    Position the top plastic motherboard shield back onto the upper phone frame. Press gently to align all screw holes.

    Secure Motherboard Screws

    Reinsert and tighten the nine Phillips #000 screws to firmly secure the motherboard shield.

    Reconnect Fingerprint Sensor

    Hold the back cover close to the phone frame and press the fingerprint sensor connector down onto its motherboard socket.

    Snap Rear Cover On

    Align the back cover with the phone frame and press firmly along all edges until the plastic clips snap tightly into place.
