Power Off Phone
1 minPress and hold the power button, then select Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is fully shut down before proceeding.

Remove SIM Tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the small hole on the top left edge. Push firmly to pop out the SIM tray and remove it.

Heat Rear Cover
3 minApply mild heat around the outer edges of the back cover for 2 to 3 minutes using a heat gun or hairdryer. This softens the perimeter adhesive.

Attach Suction Cup
1 minPlace a suction cup near the bottom edge of the rear panel. Pull upward gently to create a tiny gap between the panel and frame.

Insert Opening Pick
2 minInsert a plastic opening pick into the gap created under the back cover. Slide it carefully along the bottom edge to break the glue seal.

Slice Rear Cover Adhesive
3 minSlide the pick along the side and top edges to separate the rear cover adhesive. Keep the pick shallow to avoid damaging internal cables.

Unseal Fingerprint Area
2 minCarefully slice around the adhesive surrounding the fingerprint reader area. Do not pull the back cover away completely yet.

Open Rear Cover
1 minFold the back cover open towards the right side like a book. Keep it close to the frame to prevent stressing the sensor flex cable.

Unscrew Bracket Covers
2 minUse a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the metal shield over the motherboard connectors.

Disconnect Fingerprint Cable
1 minPry the fingerprint reader flex cable straight up from its motherboard socket using a plastic spudger. Set the rear cover aside.

Remove Upper Midframe Screws
3 minRemove all remaining Phillips #000 screws holding the plastic upper midframe in place.

Pry Off Upper Midframe
2 minInsert a plastic spudger under the top midframe cover and gently lever it off the chassis.

Disconnect Battery Cable
1 minUse the edge of a plastic spudger to pop the battery connector straight up off the motherboard.

Apply Isopropyl Alcohol
2 minApply a few drops of high-grade isopropyl alcohol along the upper and lower edges of the battery. Wait 2 minutes for the adhesive to soften.

Pry Out Old Battery
4 minInsert a wide plastic card or spudger beneath the battery and gradually lift it out of the recess. Avoid bending or puncturing the pack.

Clean Battery Well
2 minRemove residual adhesive strips and wipe the metal recess clean using isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free wipe.

Install New Battery Adhesive
2 minPeel the protective backing off new adhesive strips and stick them flat into the empty battery compartment.

2 minRemove the remaining adhesive film, align the replacement battery into the frame, and press down evenly. Do not connect it yet.

Apply Rear Adhesive
3 minApply fresh pre-cut double-sided adhesive tape along the perimeter frame of the device.

Press Rear Cover Close
2 minAlign the rear cover with the frame and press firmly around all edges to secure the adhesive.

Reinsert SIM Tray
1 minSlide the SIM card tray back into its slot on the side of the phone until flush with the outer shell.
