   Power off the device

   Press and hold the power button, then select Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is completely powered down before beginning.

   Eject the SIM tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool or paperclip into the small pinhole on the left side of the phone. Push firmly until the tray pops out, then pull it out completely.

   Create an opening seam

   Insert a thin plastic opening pick into the seam between the back cover and the display bezel near the SIM card slot.

   Unclip the back cover

   Slide the plastic pick carefully around the entire outer seam to release the internal plastic retaining clips.

   Tilt the back cover open

   Gently tilt the back cover open from the left edge like a book, being careful not to strain the attached fingerprint sensor cable.

   Unscrew the fingerprint bracket

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the single screw holding the metal bracket over the fingerprint sensor connector.

   Remove the metal cover

   Use precision tweezers to lift away the small metal bracket covering the fingerprint sensor press connector.

   Disconnect the fingerprint sensor

   Pry up the press-fit connector of the fingerprint sensor flex cable directly off the motherboard using a plastic spudger.

   Separate the back cover

   Lift the rear cover completely off the body of the phone and set it aside safely.

    Unscrew the loudspeaker module

    Remove the seven Phillips #00 screws securing the plastic loudspeaker assembly at the bottom of the phone.

    Remove the loudspeaker

    Pry up under the edge of the loudspeaker module using a flat spudger and remove it from the frame.

    Disconnect the interconnect cable

    Use a spudger to pry the main interconnect flex cable straight up from its connector on the bottom sub-board.

    Disconnect the antenna cable

    Carefully pry up the white coaxial antenna cable head from the socket on the sub-board using tweezers or a spudger.

    Remove the charging sub-board

    Insert the flat edge of a spudger beneath the charging port sub-board and gently pry it out of the plastic housing.

    Install the new sub-board

    Set the replacement charging port sub-board into the bottom compartment and press lightly until it rests flat.

    Reconnect the antenna cable

    Align the white coaxial antenna cable connector over its socket on the new sub-board and press straight down until it snaps into place.

    Reconnect the interconnect cable

    Align and press down on the main interconnect flex cable socket onto the sub-board connector.

    Position the loudspeaker housing

    Place the loudspeaker module back over the bottom sub-board assembly, ensuring the clip tabs align with the frame.

    Secure the loudspeaker screws

    Reinstall and tighten the seven Phillips #00 screws to firmly secure the loudspeaker housing.

    Reconnect the fingerprint flex

    Hold the back cover near the phone body and press the fingerprint flex cable connector down onto the motherboard socket.

    Reinstall the metal bracket

    Place the small metal bracket over the fingerprint connector and replace its single Phillips screw.

    Snap the back cover closed

    Align the rear cover with the front chassis and press around all edges until the plastic clips snap firmly into place.

    Reinsert the SIM tray

    Slide the SIM card tray back into its slot on the left side of the phone until flush with the body.
