Power Off Device
1 minPress and hold the power button, then tap Power Off to shut down the phone completely.

Eject SIM Card Tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the hole on the left edge of the phone to pop out and remove the tray.

Heat Back Cover
2 minApply a heat gun or hairdryer along the outer edges of the rear panel for 2 minutes to soften the adhesive.

Attach Suction Cup
1 minPress a suction cup firmly onto the lower portion of the rear panel and gently pull upward to create a small gap.

Insert Opening Pick
1 minSlide a plastic opening pick into the gap created between the rear panel and the phone frame.

Slice Rear Adhesive
4 minSlide the pick around all four edges of the back cover to cut through the perimeter adhesive.

Disconnect Fingerprint Cable
2 minSlightly lift the rear panel and use a spudger to disconnect the fingerprint sensor flex cable from the motherboard.

Remove Motherboard Screws
3 minUse a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the upper motherboard shield.

Detach Upper Shield
1 minPry up and remove the plastic motherboard protective bracket using tweezers.

2 minPlace a thin opening pick between the front glass display and the plastic housing frame.

Slice Screen Adhesive
5 minCarefully guide the pick around the screen perimeter to separate the cracked display from the body.

Remove Old Screen
2 minThread the display flex cable out through the frame slot and lift the old screen away.

Clean Frame Channel
4 minScrape away leftover adhesive and glass fragments from the frame channel using isopropyl alcohol and a spudger.

Apply Display Adhesive
3 minApply double-sided adhesive strips along the recessed lip of the middle frame.

Install New Display
3 minFeed the new display flex cable through the slot in the frame and press the glass firmly into place.

Reconnect Connectors
