Step-by-step

Eject the SIM tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool or thin paperclip into the hole on the left edge of the phone to pop out the tray. Remove the SIM card tray completely.

Heat the rear panel
3 minApply a heat gun or hair dryer around the edges of the rear cover for two minutes to soften the perimeter adhesive. Do not overheat the phone to avoid battery damage.

Attach the suction cup
2 minPress a suction cup onto the lower portion of the back cover and pull upward gently to create a small gap near the edge.

Slice the edge adhesive

Disconnect the fingerprint sensor

3 minUse a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove all securing screws holding the upper plastic motherboard cover shield in place.

Remove the upper bracket

Disconnect the battery cable
1 minPry the battery connector straight up from its socket on the logic board using a plastic spudger to cut power.

Disconnect the display and sub-board flex cables
2 minUse the edge of a spudger to pop up the display flex cable and the sub-board interconnect flex cable from their board sockets.

Unplug the coaxial antenna cable
2 minGently snap the small rounded antenna connector off the right side of the logic board using precision tweezers.

Disconnect the camera modules
3 minUnplug the front selfie camera cable and the rear camera array press connectors from the motherboard.

Lift out the logic board
3 minCheck for any remaining retaining screws, then gently pry up the edge of the logic board and lift it out of the phone chassis.

Install the replacement logic board
3 minLower the new logic board angled into the frame, aligning the ports correctly, and snap it flat into place.

Reconnect internal components and test
5 minReconnect all camera modules, flex cables, antenna wire, and battery connector. Re-attach the motherboard bracket and power on the device to verify functionality before sealing the back cover.
