Step-by-step

Power Off Phone
1 minPress and hold the power button, then select Power Off to completely turn off the device.

Eject SIM Tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the hole next to the SIM tray on the top side to eject the tray.

Heat Rear Panel
2 minApply heat from a heat gun or hair dryer around the edges of the back panel for two minutes to soften the adhesive.

Attach Suction Cup
1 minPress a suction cup firmly near the bottom edge of the back panel.

Create Opening Gap
2 minPull up on the suction cup while inserting a plastic opening pick into the seam under the back panel.

Slice Rear Adhesive
3 minSlide the pick carefully around all four edges to cut through the perimeter adhesive.

Remove Back Panel
1 minLift the rear panel away from the chassis and place it in a clean work area.

Unscrew Lower Speaker Screws
2 minUse a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the bottom speaker assembly.

2 minInsert a spudger under the lower speaker housing and gently lift it out of the chassis.

Disconnect Main Flex Cable
1 minUse the flat end of a spudger to pry the main interconnect flex connector off the daughterboard.

1 minGently pry up the coaxial antenna connector from the daughterboard using precision tweezers.

Unscrew Daughterboard Screw
1 minRemove the single Phillips #000 screw holding the charging port daughterboard to the frame.

Remove Damaged Sub-Board
2 minPry up the old charging port daughterboard carefully using a spudger and lift it free.

Position New Sub-Board
2 minPlace the replacement Moto G73 charging sub-board into its designated recess in the chassis.

Fasten Sub-Board Screw
1 minReinstall the Phillips #000 screw to secure the new daughterboard to the internal frame.

Reconnect Antenna Cable
2 minAlign the coaxial antenna cable head with its socket on the new sub-board and press down until it snaps into place.
