Power Off the Phone

Heat the Rear Panel
3 minUse a heat gun or hair dryer to warm the edges of the back cover for two minutes. This softens the factory adhesive holding the panel.

Attach Suction Cup
2 minPlace a suction cup near the bottom edge of the back cover and pull gently upward. Create a slight gap between the cover and the chassis frame.

Insert Opening Pick
2 minSlide a thin plastic opening pick into the gap created by the suction cup. Do not insert it deeper than a quarter-inch to avoid internal damage.

Slice Peripheral Adhesive
3 minGlided the pick along all four edges of the back cover to cut through the glue. Take extra care around the middle section where the fingerprint sensor cable runs.

Lift the Rear Cover

Reconnect Volume Connector
