   Eject SIM Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool or paperclip into the SIM tray hole on the left edge of the phone. Push firmly until the tray pops out, then pull it completely out of the device.

   Heat Rear Cover

   Apply heat with a hair dryer or heat gun along the perimeter of the back cover for 2 minutes. This softens the adhesive holding the back cover to the frame.

   Attach Suction Cup

   Place a suction cup on the lower third of the back cover near the bottom seam. Pull up firmly on the suction cup handle to create a slight gap between the cover and the body.

   Slice Rear Adhesive

   Insert a plastic prying pick into the gap created by the suction cup. Carefully slide the pick around all four edges to cut through the perimeter adhesive seal.

   Tilt Open Rear Cover

   Gently lift the right side of the back cover like a book. Do not pull it away entirely, as the fingerprint sensor flex cable remains connected to the motherboard.

   Disconnect Fingerprint Sensor

   Use the edge of a plastic spudger to lift the fingerprint sensor connector straight up off the motherboard socket. Set the rear cover aside.

   Unscrew Upper Midframe

   Remove the Phillips #000 screws securing the upper plastic midframe and protective shield over the motherboard.

   Remove Upper Midframe

   Insert a spudger beneath the edge of the upper midframe shield and lift it out of the phone body.

   Disconnect Battery Cable

   Pry the battery flex cable straight up from its motherboard terminal using the flat end of a spudger to safely cut power.

    Unscrew Loudspeaker Module

    Remove the Phillips #000 screws securing the loudspeaker assembly at the bottom of the device.

    Remove Loudspeaker Module

    Pry up the lower speaker housing with a plastic opening tool and set it aside to reveal the daughterboard.

    Disconnect Interconnect Cable

    Use a spudger to disconnect the main interconnect flex cable from the top edge of the lower daughterboard.

    Disconnect Antenna Cable

    Gently pry up the white coaxial antenna cable connector off the daughterboard using fine tweezers or a spudger tip.

    Remove Microphone Board

    Slide a flat spudger under the lower daughterboard containing the primary microphone and lift it out of the recess.

    Install Replacement Board

    Set the new daughterboard containing the replacement microphone into the lower frame recess and press gently to seat it.
