Step-by-step

Power off the device
1 minPress and hold the power button, then tap Power Off on the screen to completely shut down the device.

Eject the SIM tray

Heat the back cover

1 minUse the flat end of a spudger to unclip the wide display ribbon cable from the left side of the motherboard.

Disconnect the sub-board interconnect cable
1 minPop open the main interconnect ribbon cable connector located near the bottom edge of the logic board.

Unplug the antenna coaxial cables
2 minUse precision tweezers to gently lift the white and black antenna cable heads off their board-mounted snap connectors.

Remove the front-facing camera
2 minUnclip the selfie camera flex cable and pull the camera module straight out of its housing notch.

Remove the rear camera module
2 minDisconnect the primary rear camera connector and lift the dual-camera assembly off the motherboard.

Unscrew the logic board retaining screw
1 minRemove the single Phillips #00 screw holding the logic board down to the inner metal chassis.

Lift out the logic board
2 minGently insert a spudger under the top corner of the logic board and tilt it up to free it from the phone frame.
