Turn Off Device

Slice Rear Cover Adhesive
4 minGlide the opening pick around all four edges of the rear cover to cut through the internal adhesive.

2 minSlightly lift the rear cover and use a spudger to pry up the fingerprint sensor press connector from the motherboard.

3 minRemove the six Phillips #00 screws securing the plastic loudspeaker assembly at the bottom of the device.

Pry Up Speaker Module
2 minInsert a spudger under the notch of the loudspeaker housing and lift it out of the frame.

Disconnect Battery Cable
1 minUse the flat end of a spudger to snap the battery flex connector off the motherboard to disable power.

Disconnect Interconnect Cable
2 minPry up the lower main flex interconnect connector from the charging port daughterboard using a spudger.

Disconnect Antenna Cable
2 minUse fine tweezers to gently pry up the white coaxial antenna cable head from its socket on the charging board.

Remove Board Screw
1 minUnscrew the single Phillips #00 screw anchoring the charging port board to the frame.

Pry Up Charging Board
2 minGently wedge a flat spudger under the charging port board and lift it out of the phone body.

Insert New Charging Board
2 minPlace the replacement charging port board into the bottom recess of the chassis frame.

Secure Board Screw
1 minReinsert and tighten the single Phillips #00 screw to hold the new charging board in place.

Reconnect Antenna Cable
2 minAlign the coaxial antenna cable connector over its terminal on the new board and snap it down gently.

2 minPress the lower main flex cable connector firmly onto the new charging daughterboard connector.

2 minHold the rear cover close to the frame and press the fingerprint sensor flex connector onto its motherboard terminal.

3 minAlign the rear cover back onto the phone frame and press firmly along the edges to seal the adhesive.

Reinsert SIM Tray
