   Power off the phone

   Press and hold the power button, then tap Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is fully powered down before proceeding.

   Eject the SIM tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole next to the SIM card tray on the left edge. Push firmly to eject the tray and remove it.

   Heat the rear panel

   Use a heat gun or hair dryer to warm the edges of the back cover for two minutes. This softens the perimeter adhesive securing the rear panel.

   Apply a suction cup

   Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the back panel. Pull upward firmly to create a small gap between the panel and the frame.

   Insert an opening pick

   Insert the tip of a plastic opening pick into the gap created by the suction cup. Slide the pick along the bottom edge to slice the adhesive.

   Slice the side adhesive

   Carefully slide the pick up the left and right edges of the phone. Keep the pick shallow to avoid damaging internal flex cables.

   Lift the back cover carefully

   Gently hinge the back cover open toward the right side. Do not pull it away completely yet, as the fingerprint reader cable remains attached.

   Unclip the fingerprint cable bracket

   Use tweezers to remove the small metal bracket covering the fingerprint sensor connector. Set the bracket aside.

   Disconnect the fingerprint sensor

   Use the flat end of a spudger to pry the fingerprint reader flex cable directly up from its socket. Set the rear panel aside.

    Unscrew the lower speaker cover

    Remove the six Phillips #00 screws securing the bottom loudspeaker assembly to the phone frame.

    Pry up the loudspeaker assembly

    Insert a spudger under the notch on the speaker cover. Lift up gently to unclip and remove the speaker housing.

    Disconnect the main flex cable

    Use a plastic spudger to disconnect the main ribbon cable connector from the bottom charging port daughterboard.

    Disconnect the antenna coaxial cable

    Use fine-tip tweezers to gently lever up the antenna coaxial cable connector from the daughterboard.

    Remove the charging port daughterboard

    Insert the flat end of a spudger beneath the daughterboard and gently pry it up out of the frame recess.

    Position the new daughterboard

    Place the new charging port board into the lower frame recess, pressing down lightly until it sits flush.

    Reconnect the antenna coaxial cable

    Align the antenna connector over its socket on the new board and snap it straight down into place using tweezers.

    Attach the main flex cable

    Align the main interconnect ribbon connector over the daughterboard socket and press down firmly until it clicks.

    Reinstall the loudspeaker cover

    Place the loudspeaker assembly back over the lower board and press gently to seat it into the frame clips.

    Secure the loudspeaker screws

    Reinstall the six Phillips #00 screws to firmly fasten the loudspeaker cover.

    Reconnect the fingerprint sensor

    Hold the back cover close and press the fingerprint sensor flex cable onto its socket. Reinstall the metal retaining bracket.

    Apply new rear adhesive

    Clean off old adhesive residue with isopropyl alcohol, then lay new pre-cut adhesive strips along the frame perimeter.

    Seal the back cover

    Align the back cover over the frame and press firmly along all edges to seal the fresh adhesive.

    Reinsert the SIM tray

    Push the SIM card tray back into its slot on the left side until it fits flush with the outer housing.
