   Power Down Device

   Press and hold the power button, then tap Power Off on the screen to shut down the phone.

   Heat Rear Cover

   Apply a heat gun set to low heat around the edges of the rear cover for two minutes to soften the adhesive.

   Attach Suction Cup

   Press a suction cup firmly onto the lower portion of the rear glass cover near the USB-C port.

   Create Opening Gap

   Pull up on the suction cup while pressing down on the frame to create a small gap at the bottom edge.

   Insert Opening Pick

   Insert a plastic opening pick into the gap no deeper than 3 millimeters to avoid damaging internal flex cables.

   Slice Left Edge Adhesive

   Slide the opening pick along the left perimeter to cut through the underlying factory glue.

   Slice Top Edge Adhesive

   Carefully move the pick across the top edge, taking care around the upper camera housing assembly.

   Slice Right Edge Adhesive

   Continue sliding the pick down the right edge to free the remaining perimeter adhesive.

   Open Rear Cover

   Gently swing open the rear cover to the left like a book, keeping the connected fingerprint cable intact.

    Unclip Sensor Bracket

    Use fine tweezers to lift off the small metal bracket covering the fingerprint sensor connector.

    Disconnect Fingerprint Cable

    Pry the fingerprint sensor ribbon cable straight up from its motherboard socket using a spudger.

    Remove Midframe Screws

    Unscrew the 14 Phillips #00 screws securing the plastic midframe to the main body.

    Insert a spudger under the top edge of the plastic midframe shield and unclip it from the frame.

    Pull Adhesive Strips

    Slowly pull the adhesive stretch-release tabs outward at a flat angle parallel to the phone chassis.

    Apply Isopropyl Alcohol

    Apply a few drops of high-purity isopropyl alcohol under the battery edges if the adhesive strips tear.

    Pry Out Battery

    Insert a flat plastic pry card under the right side of the battery and carefully lift it out of the recess.

    Apply New Battery Adhesive

    Lay double-sided replacement adhesive strips directly into the empty battery compartment recess.

    Place Replacement Battery

    Set the new battery into the frame, aligning its connector position with the motherboard socket.

    Reconnect Internal Cables

    Press the display interconnect and battery flex cables firmly back onto their motherboard connectors.

    Reinstall Midframe

    Position the plastic midframe shield onto the phone and press down until it snaps around the edges.

    Secure Midframe Screws

    Reinstall and tighten the 14 Phillips #00 screws to firmly lock the midframe in place.

    Reconnect Fingerprint Reader

    Attach the fingerprint ribbon cable to the motherboard socket and snap its protective bracket on top.

    Apply fresh pre-cut adhesive along the rear housing bezel and press the back cover firmly shut.
