Turn Off the Device
1 minPress and hold the power button on the side of the phone. Tap Power Off on the screen and wait for the device to shut down completely.

Eject the SIM Tray
1 minInsert a SIM ejection tool into the small hole on the top edge of the phone. Push firmly until the tray pops out, then pull it out completely.

Heat the Back Glass
3 minApply a heated iOpener or heat gun around the outer edges of the rear glass cover for 2 to 3 minutes to soften the adhesive.

Attach Suction Cup
1 minPlace a suction cup on the lower portion of the rear glass cover. Press it firmly to secure suction.

Insert Opening Pick
2 minPull up gently on the suction cup to create a gap between the frame and glass. Insert a plastic opening pick into the gap.

Slice Rear Adhesive
4 minSlide the opening pick around all edges of the glass back cover to slice through the perimeter adhesive. Reapply heat if the adhesive hardens.

Disconnect Fingerprint Cable
2 minSlightly tilt open the back glass from the left side like a book cover. Use precision tweezers or a spudger to detach the fingerprint sensor flex cable from the motherboard.

Remove Back Glass
1 minLift the rear glass cover away from the chassis and place it on a clean workspace.

Remove Upper Cover Screws
2 minUse a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the top motherboard bracket.

Disconnect Battery Flex
2 minPry up the top plastic motherboard shield and use a plastic spudger to disconnect the battery flex cable for safety.

Unscrew Speaker Assembly
3 minRemove the Phillips #00 screws securing the bottom loudspeaker module cover.

Pry Out Speaker Module
2 minInsert a flat opening tool under the edge of the lower speaker assembly and pry it out from the phone chassis.

Install New Loudspeaker
2 minPosition the new replacement loudspeaker module into the lower cavity of the frame and press down until it sits flush.

Secure Speaker Module
2 minReinstall the Phillips #00 screws to firmly lock the loudspeaker module in place.

Reconnect Battery Cable
2 minSnap the battery flex connector back onto the motherboard socket and reinstall the top motherboard cover with its screws.

Reconnect Fingerprint Cable
2 minHold the rear glass near the frame and press the fingerprint sensor flex cable connector back onto the motherboard.

Seal Back Cover
3 minApply fresh pre-cut adhesive strips around the phone frame, align the back cover, and press firmly along the edges to seal.
