   Eject SIM Card Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the pinhole on the top edge of the phone to pop out the SIM tray. Remove the tray completely from the device.

   Heat Back Cover

   Apply a heat gun or hairdryer along the edges of the back cover for two minutes to soften the rear adhesive.

   Attach Suction Cup

   Press a suction cup onto the lower portion of the glass back cover and pull upward gently to create a small gap.

   Slice Back Cover Adhesive

   Insert an opening pick into the gap and slide it carefully around the perimeter to cut through the rear glass adhesive.

   Disconnect Fingerprint Sensor

   Slightly lift the glass back cover and use a spudger to detach the fingerprint sensor flex cable from the motherboard.

   Unscrew Top Motherboard Cover

   Remove the Phillips #00 screws securing the upper plastic motherboard shield.

   Remove Top Motherboard Cover

   Use tweezers or an opening tool to lift the upper plastic shield out of the frame.

   Unscrew Bottom Speaker Housing

   Remove all Phillips #00 screws holding the loudspeaker assembly at the bottom of the device.

   Remove Speaker Housing

   Pry up and remove the bottom speaker housing to reveal the lower daughterboard and display connector.

    Disconnect Battery Cable

    Use the flat end of a spudger to pop the battery press connector straight off the motherboard.

    Disconnect Display Flex Cable

    Unplug the main display ribbon cable from the motherboard socket.

    Heat Front Screen

    Heat the outer perimeter of the front screen assembly for three minutes to weaken the adhesive holding the display.

    Slice Front Screen Adhesive

    Insert a pick between the screen frame and display glass, then cut around all four edges.

    Remove Damaged Screen Assembly

    Lift the display assembly away from the frame while carefully threading the ribbon cable through the frame slot.

    Clean Frame Adhesive Residue

    Scrape off residual glue from the frame bevel using a spudger and clean with isopropyl alcohol.

    Apply New Display Adhesive

    Place pre-cut adhesive strips along the cleaned frame edges where the new screen will sit.

    Thread and Mount New Screen

    Thread the replacement screen flex cable through the slot and press the screen firmly into the phone frame.

    Snap the display flex cable press-connector firmly onto the motherboard.

    Reinstall Speaker Housing

    Place the loudspeaker cover over the lower assembly and tighten its Phillips #00 screws.

    Reinstall Top Motherboard Shield

    Set the upper plastic shield over the motherboard and secure it with its original screws.

    Reconnect Fingerprint Sensor Cable

    Hold the back glass near the frame and snap the fingerprint sensor cable onto its connector.

    Apply Back Cover Adhesive

    Stick fresh double-sided adhesive strips along the rim of the back cover housing.

    Seal Back Cover

    Align the back glass over the frame and press firmly around all edges to secure the seal.
