   Power Off the Phone

   Turn off your Moto G7 Plus completely to prevent short circuits during disassembly. Hold the power button and select Power Off on the screen.

   Eject the SIM Card Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the small hole on the top edge of the phone. Push inward firmly to eject the tray, then pull it out completely.

   Heat the Rear Glass

   Use a heat gun or hair dryer to warm the perimeter of the back glass panel for 2 minutes. This softens the factory adhesive holding the cover.

   Attach Suction Cup

   Press a suction cup onto the lower third of the rear glass panel. Pull up gently on the suction cup handle to create a tiny seam gap.

   Insert Plastic Pick

   Slide a thin plastic opening pick into the small gap created by the suction cup. Do not insert it deeper than a few millimeters to avoid damaging cables.

   Slice Rear Adhesive

   Slowly slide the opening pick around all four edges of the phone frame to slice through the adhesive seal. Apply mild heat again if you encounter strong resistance.

   Open Rear Cover

   Gently tilt the back glass open toward the right side like a book cover. Be careful not to pull hard, as the fingerprint cable is still connected.

   Disconnect Fingerprint Sensor

   Use precision tweezers to lift the metal shield bracket off the fingerprint connector, then snap the ribbon cable off the motherboard with a spudger.

   Remove Rear Glass

   Lift the rear glass completely away from the phone body and set it aside in a safe area.

    Unscrew Loudspeaker Module

    Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the six screws securing the bottom loudspeaker cover over the charging port assembly.

    Pry Up Loudspeaker

    Insert a plastic spudger under the edge of the loudspeaker assembly and pry it upward to detach it from the phone frame.

    Disconnect Main Flex Cable

    Pry the wide interconnect ribbon cable off the lower daughterboard using the flat end of a plastic spudger.

    Disconnect Antenna Coaxial Cable

    Use tweezers to carefully lift the head of the white antenna cable off its press-fit socket on the daughterboard.

    Remove Old Port Board

    Gently wedge a plastic spudger under the daughterboard and lift it out of its recess in the chassis.

    Install New Port Board

    Align the replacement charging port board with the bottom compartment and press it flat into the chassis.

    Snap Antenna Cable

    Position the antenna cable connector directly over its socket on the new board and press down gently until it clicks into place.

    Attach Main Flex Cable

    Align the main interconnect flex cable header over the daughterboard connector and press down firmly to connect it.

    Position Loudspeaker Assembly

    Set the loudspeaker housing back over the daughterboard, aligning its screw holes with the phone frame.

    Secure Loudspeaker Screws

    Reinstall and tighten the six Phillips #00 screws to firmly hold the loudspeaker and port board down.

    Reconnect Fingerprint Cable

    Hold the rear glass next to the phone and press the fingerprint sensor flex cable connector onto its motherboard header.

    Apply Rear Cover Adhesive

    Apply new custom-cut adhesive strips around the perimeter of the inner phone frame, peeling off the protective backing strips.

    Seal Back Cover

    Align the rear glass panel with the phone edges and press down firmly along the perimeter to re-seal the device.
