   Power off the phone

   Press and hold the power button, then select Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is completely powered down before proceeding.

   Eject the SIM tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole next to the SIM tray on the left edge. Push firmly to pop the tray out and remove it.

   Heat the back panel

   Apply heat along the outer edges of the back panel for two minutes to soften the rear adhesive. Keep the heat source moving to avoid warping the plastic.

   Insert an opening pick

   Attach a suction cup near the bottom edge of the back panel and pull up to create a small gap. Insert a thin plastic opening pick into the gap.

   Slice the back adhesive

   Slide the plastic pick along all four edges of the back panel to cut through the adhesive seal. Keep the pick insertion depth under 5 mm to protect internal cables.

   Remove the back panel

   Lift the back panel away from the frame and set it aside on a clean surface.

   Unscrew the upper motherboard cover

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove all securing screws from the plastic motherboard shield. Organize the screws by position for easy reassembly.

   Detach the upper motherboard cover

   Pry up the edges of the motherboard cover using a plastic spudger and remove it from the device.

   Disconnect the battery cable

   Use the flat end of a plastic spudger to pry the battery flex connector straight up from its motherboard socket. This prevents accidental short circuits during repair.

    Unscrew the lower speaker housing

    Remove the Phillips screws securing the speaker enclosure at the bottom of the frame.

    Remove the speaker housing

    Pry up the lower speaker housing using a spudger and lift it out of the chassis.

    Disconnect the display flex cable

    Unplug the display ribbon cable connector from the motherboard/daughterboard using a plastic spudger.

    Heat the screen edges

    Warm the front perimeter of the phone with a heat gun for 2 to 3 minutes to loosen the screen glue.

    Slice the screen adhesive

    Place a suction cup on the cracked glass, pull gently, and slide an opening pick around the screen perimeter to separate it from the chassis.

    Separate the broken screen

    Lift the broken display off the frame while carefully guiding the ribbon cable through the frame slot.

    Clean the frame channel

    Scrape away lingering adhesive and glass shards from the frame recess using a spudger. Clean the surface using isopropyl alcohol and a cloth.

    Apply new screen adhesive

    Lay down fresh pre-cut adhesive strips along the entire perimeter of the display channel on the frame.

    Install the new screen assembly

    Thread the flex ribbon cable through the slot in the frame and seat the new glass panel into the frame channel.

    Reconnect display and battery cables

    Align and press down on the display flex connector and battery flex connector until they snap into place.

    Reinstall lower and upper covers

    Place the speaker housing and motherboard cover back into position and secure them using their original Phillips screws.

    Reseal and reinstall back cover

    Apply new rear cover adhesive strips, align the rear panel over the frame, and press firmly around all edges to seal the device.
