   Power Off the Phone

   Press and hold the power button on your Moto G62 5G, then select Power Off on the screen.

   Eject the SIM Tray

   Insert a SIM ejection tool into the pinhole on the left side of the frame to pop out the card tray.

   Heat the Back Cover

   Use a heat gun or hair dryer on low setting for two minutes around the outer edges of the rear panel to soften the adhesive.

   Attach Suction Cup

   Place a suction cup on the lower third of the back cover and pull gently upward to create a slight gap.

   Insert Opening Pick

   Insert a thin plastic prying tool or opening pick into the gap created between the back panel and frame.

   Slice Rear Adhesive

   Slide the pick carefully around all four edges of the back panel to cut through the adhesive perimeter.

   Remove Back Cover

   Lift the rear plastic cover away from the chassis entirely and set it aside.

   Unscrew Lower Assembly

   Remove the seven Phillips #00 screws securing the plastic speaker housing over the charging board.

   Pry Up Speaker Housing

   Insert the flat end of a spudger under the speaker module edge and lift it out of the frame.

    Disconnect Battery Flex

    Use a plastic spudger to detach the main battery flex connector from the motherboard to prevent electrical shorts.

    Disconnect Interconnect Ribbon

    Pry up the lower interconnect flex cable connector attached to the top of the daughterboard.

    Disconnect Antenna Cable

    Gently unclip the white coaxial antenna cable from the right side of the charging sub-board using tweezers.

    Remove Charging Sub-Board

    Pry gently beneath the edge of the daughterboard to lift the damaged charging port assembly out of the phone.

    Position New Daughterboard

    Set the replacement charging port sub-board into the lower housing compartment, aligning it with the locator pins.

    Reconnect Antenna Cable

    Use tweezers to snap the coaxial antenna head firmly back onto the connector terminal of the new board.

    Connect Interconnect Ribbon

    Align the main interconnect flex cable connector over its socket on the daughterboard and press straight down until it clicks.

    Reconnect Battery Flex

    Press the battery connector firmly back onto its terminal on the mainboard.

    Install Speaker Assembly

    Lower the speaker housing cover back over the daughterboard area and press down gently to align it.

    Secure Speaker Screws

    Reinstall the seven Phillips #00 screws into the lower speaker housing to lock it down.

    Test Charging Function

    Plug a USB-C charging cable into the port to verify that the phone charges correctly before final sealing.

    Apply Back Cover Adhesive

    Place strips of double-sided electronic adhesive tape around the perimeter frame of the phone body.

    Reseal Back Cover

    Align the back panel with the frame and press firmly along all edges to secure the back cover in place.
