Power Off Phone
1 minPress and hold the power button, then select Power Off from the screen menu.

Remove SIM Tray

3 minRemove the Phillips #00 screws securing the plastic loudspeaker assembly at the bottom of the device.

1 minPry up the press-fit connector of the main interconnect flex cable from the lower sub-board.

2 minUse precision tweezers to carefully lift the coaxial antenna cable head straight up off the sub-board.

Remove Sub-Board
2 minPry up the sub-board containing the faulty microphone from the chassis using a flat spudger.

Insert New Sub-Board
2 minAlign the replacement sub-board into its designated recess at the bottom of the frame and press it gently into place.

Connect Antenna Cable
2 minSnap the coaxial antenna connector firmly onto the gold terminal of the new sub-board.

Attach Interconnect Cable
2 minAlign and press down on the main interconnect flex connector until it snaps onto the new sub-board.

Secure Loudspeaker Assembly
3 minPosition the loudspeaker module back over the bottom section and tighten the Phillips #00 screws.

Reconnect Fingerprint Cable and Seal
4 minConnect the fingerprint sensor flex cable, apply new back cover adhesive tape, and press the cover firmly onto the frame.
