Power Off Device

1 minPlace a suction cup onto the lower portion of the rear cover and gently pull upward to create a slight gap.

Insert Opening Pick
1 minInsert an opening pick into the gap created between the plastic rear cover and the frame.

Slice Edge Adhesive
3 minSlide the pick around the bottom and side perimeter to slice through the factory adhesive.

Slice Top Adhesive
2 minCarefully slide the opening pick across the top edge, taking care not to insert it deeper than 3 millimeters.

Unseal Rear Cover
2 minGently lift the right side of the rear cover like a book, taking care not to pull the attached fingerprint flex cable.

Unscrew Fingerprint Bracket
1 minUse a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the single screw securing the metal bracket over the fingerprint connector.

Remove Fingerprint Bracket
1 minUse precision tweezers to lift away the small metal bracket covering the fingerprint flex connector.

Disconnect Fingerprint Flex
1 minPry the fingerprint sensor press-connector straight up from the motherboard using a plastic spudger.

Remove Rear Cover
1 minLift the rear cover completely off the body of the phone and set it aside.

Unscrew Loudspeaker Assembly
2 minRemove the seven Phillips #00 screws securing the bottom loudspeaker assembly to the chassis.

Remove Loudspeaker Module
1 minInsert a flat opening tool under the edge of the loudspeaker assembly and pry it up to remove it.

Disconnect Battery Flex
1 minDisconnect the main battery connector flex cable from the mainboard using a plastic spudger to prevent short circuits.

Disconnect Interconnect Cable
1 minPry up the lower end of the main interconnect flex cable from the sub-board using a spudger.

Disconnect Antenna Cable
1 minUse tweezers to carefully lift the coaxial antenna cable head straight up off its socket on the sub-board.

Pry Up Charging Board
2 minInsert a flat plastic tool underneath the sub-board and lift it carefully out of its housing slot.

Position New Charging Board
1 minSet the replacement charging port sub-board into the lower cavity of the frame and press it gently into place.

Attach Antenna Cable
2 minAlign the coaxial antenna cable head with its terminal on the new sub-board and press down until it snaps into place.

1 minAlign and press down on the daughterboard interconnect cable connector until it clicks onto the sub-board.

Reconnect Battery Flex
1 minPress the battery flex cable connector firmly back into its terminal on the motherboard.

Reinstall Loudspeaker Module
1 minPlace the loudspeaker housing back over the bottom sub-board, pressing down lightly to seat it correctly.

Fasten Loudspeaker Screws
2 minReinstall and tighten the seven Phillips #00 screws to secure the lower speaker assembly.

Attach Fingerprint Flex
2 minReconnect the fingerprint reader press connector to the motherboard, then reinstall its metal retaining bracket and screw.

Apply Cover Adhesive
3 minApply new pre-cut adhesive strips along the perimeter of the phone chassis after cleaning off the old glue.

Seal Rear Cover
2 minAlign the back cover with the frame and press firmly around all edges to secure it in place.
