   Eject the SIM card tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole on the left side of the device. Press firmly until the SIM tray pops out, then remove it entirely.

   Heat the rear cover

   Use a heating pad or heat gun on low power to warm the back cover edges for 2-3 minutes. This softens the adhesive holding the plastic rear cover to the frame.

   Apply a suction cup to the back cover

   Attach a suction cup near the bottom edge of the back panel. Pull up gently on the ring to create a small separation gap.

   Insert an opening pick into the gap

   Slide a thin plastic opening pick into the gap created beneath the back cover. Do not force it too deep to avoid damaging internal components.

   Slice through the rear cover adhesive

   Slide the pick around all four edges of the back cover to cut through the perimeter tape. Reapply heat if the adhesive becomes difficult to cut.

   Pivot the rear cover open

   Gently lift the right edge of the rear cover like a book. Be careful not to pull it completely off yet, as the fingerprint sensor cable is still connected.

   Remove the fingerprint metal bracket screw

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the single screw securing the metal protective bracket over the fingerprint sensor connector.

   Remove the fingerprint sensor bracket

   Use tweezers to lift and remove the small metal shield covering the fingerprint sensor press connector.

   Disconnect the fingerprint flex cable

   Use the flat end of a spudger to pop the fingerprint sensor ribbon connector straight up from the motherboard. Set the back cover aside.

    Remove the motherboard frame screws

    Unscrew the remaining Phillips #00 screws holding the plastic upper motherboard shield and speaker frame in place.

    Remove the motherboard protective cover

    Insert the flat tip of a spudger under the motherboard shield edge and pry upward to release it from the frame clips.

    Disconnect the battery flex cable

    Pry the battery press connector straight up off the motherboard socket using a plastic spudger to cut power immediately.

    Disconnect the main interconnect flex cables

    Disconnect the display and main sub-board flex cables that cross over the top surface of the battery.

    Apply isopropyl alcohol around the battery

    Drip a few drops of high-purity isopropyl alcohol along the top and bottom edges of the battery well to soften the strong glue.

    Pry the battery out of the frame

    Insert a flat plastic opening card or wide spudger under the battery edge and lever slowly until the adhesive releases. Never use metal tools or puncture the battery.

    Clean adhesive residue from the frame

    Wipe away remaining glue residue inside the battery compartment using a cloth dampened with isopropyl alcohol.

    Apply new battery adhesive

    Place pre-cut battery adhesive strips or thin double-sided tape flat into the empty battery well on the frame.

    Position and press the new battery

    Align the replacement battery into the frame cavity and press down firmly across its surface for 10 seconds to secure it.

    Reconnect all internal flex cables

    Reconnect the main board flex cables and the battery cable by aligning their connectors and snapping them into place.

    Reinstall the motherboard cover and screws

    Snap the upper motherboard plastic shield back into position and secure it using all previously removed Phillips screws.

    Reconnect and secure the fingerprint sensor

    Plug the fingerprint flex cable back into the motherboard socket, reinstall its metal bracket, and tighten the retaining screw.

    Apply back cover adhesive and seal the phone

    Apply new back cover adhesive strips along the perimeter frame, press the rear panel onto the phone, and hold firmly for 30 seconds.
