   Power Off the Phone

   Press and hold the power button, then select Power Off. Do not connect the phone to a charger under any circumstances.

   Eject the SIM Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool or straightened paperclip into the hole next to the SIM tray. Push firmly to eject the tray and remove it.

   Heat the Rear Glass

   Apply a heat gun on low or a hairdryer around the outer edges of the rear glass for 2-3 minutes. This softens the factory adhesive holding the glass.

   Attach Suction Cup

   Press a suction cup firmly onto the lower half of the rear glass cover. Gently pull upward on the suction cup to create a small gap.

   Slice Rear Glass Adhesive

   Insert an opening pick into the gap created by the suction cup. Slide the pick around the perimeter of the back cover to cut through the adhesive.

   Lift Off Rear Glass

   Carefully tilt and lift the rear glass panel away from the phone body. Set it aside on a clean surface.

   Remove Midframe Screws

   Use a Phillips PH00 screwdriver to remove all visible screws securing the midframe shield assembly. Keep the screws organized for reassembly.

   Unclip the Midframe Frame

   Insert a plastic spudger under the edge of the plastic midframe shield. Pry gently along the sides to unclip and remove it.

   Disconnect the Battery

   Use the flat end of a plastic spudger to pry the battery connector straight up from the motherboard. This prevents electrical short circuits during repair.

    Disconnect Internal Flex Cables

    Unplug the display, charging board, and side key flex cables from the motherboard using a plastic spudger.

    Remove Motherboard Screws

    Unscrew the remaining Phillips screws securing the main logic board to the chassis.

    Detach the Motherboard

    Gently lift the motherboard out of the phone frame, taking care not to snag any lingering cables.

    Scrub Corrosion with Isopropyl Alcohol

    Dip a soft-bristle anti-static brush in 99% isopropyl alcohol. Gently scrub away white or green corrosion deposits on the circuit board.

    Clean the Charging Daughterboard

    Pry up the lower daughterboard and submerge it briefly in isopropyl alcohol. Clean the USB-C port internally with a fine brush.

    Dry Internal Components

    Allow the motherboard and sub-board to air-dry completely on a lint-free cloth for at least 15 minutes before reassembly.

    Reassemble Board and Midframe

    Re-seat the boards into the chassis, reconnect all flex cables, and snap the midframe back into place using the Phillips screws.

    Apply Rear Cover Adhesive

    Clean remaining old adhesive off the frame, place new adhesive strips, and firmly press the back glass into position.
