   Power Off Phone

   Press and hold the power button, then select power off. Ensure the device is fully shut down before proceeding.

   Remove SIM Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the side hole on the left edge. Push firmly to pop the tray out and remove it.

   Heat Screen Edges

   Apply a heat gun or heated iOpener along the perimeter of the front screen for two minutes to soften the adhesive.

   Attach Suction Cup

   Place a suction cup on the lower portion of the front glass, avoiding the home button. Pull up lightly to create a small gap.

   Insert Opening Pick

   Insert an opening pick into the gap created at the bottom edge. Do not push deeper than 2 mm.

   Slice Side Adhesive

   Slide the pick along the left and right sides to cut through the display adhesive.

   Slice Top Edge Adhesive

   Carefully slide the pick across the top edge. Keep the pick shallow to avoid damaging the front sensor array.

   Pivot Display Assembly

   Gently lift the top edge of the display like a book page. Keep the bottom edge close to the frame to avoid straining the cables.

   Unscrew Bracket Shield

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the two screws securing the metal cable bracket.

    Remove Bracket Shield

    Use precision tweezers to lift out the metal bracket covering the display connectors.

    Use the flat end of a plastic spudger to snap the display connector up from its socket.

    Disconnect Fingerprint Sensor Cable

    Pry up the fingerprint reader cable connector beneath the display. Fully detach and set the display assembly aside.

    Remove all Phillips screws securing the internal black plastic frame around the chassis.

    Unclip Midframe

    Insert a plastic opening tool beneath the edge of the midframe and lift it out of the rear shell.

    Disconnect Battery Cable

    Pry the battery connector directly upward from the motherboard to disconnect power.

    Drip a few drops of high-concentration isopropyl alcohol under the edges of the battery. Wait two minutes to dissolve the adhesive.

    Pry Out Battery

    Slide a flat plastic card under the battery and carefully lift it out. Do not bend or puncture the battery.

    Clean Battery Cavity

    Wipe away remaining adhesive and alcohol residue inside the aluminum housing using a lint-free cloth.

    Apply New Battery Adhesive

    Peel the backing off pre-cut battery adhesive strips and stick them to the back of the replacement battery.

    Position Replacement Battery

    Lower the new battery into the housing, ensuring the ribbon cable aligns with the socket on the motherboard.

    Attach Battery Cable

    Press the battery cable press-connector firmly down into its motherboard socket until it clicks.

    Reinstall Midframe

    Align the plastic midframe over the phone housing and press along the edges to snap it into place.

    Secure Midframe Screws

    Thread and tighten all perimeter Phillips screws into the midframe.

    Connect Display Cables

    Snap the fingerprint reader cable and display flex cable onto their sockets on the motherboard.

    Place the metal bracket over the connectors and reinstall the two retaining screws.

    Apply new perimeter display adhesive, align the screen over the housing, and press firmly around all edges to seal.
