   Power Off the Phone

   Press and hold the power button on the right edge, then tap Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is fully shut down before proceeding.

   Eject the SIM Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the small hole on the left edge of the phone. Push firmly until the tray pops out, then pull it out completely.

   Heat the Back Cover

   Apply heat evenly to the edges of the back cover using a heat gun or hairdryer on low for 2 to 3 minutes. This softens the adhesive holding the rear glass/plastic panel.

   Attach Suction Cup

   Press a suction cup firmly onto the lower portion of the rear panel, near the bottom edge. Pull up on the handle to create a tiny gap between the panel and frame.

   Insert Opening Pick

   Slide a thin plastic opening pick into the seam created by the suction cup. Leave the pick in place to prevent the adhesive from re-sealing.

   Slice Rear Panel Adhesive

   Slide additional picks around all four perimeter edges of the back cover. Carefully cut through the adhesive seal while maintaining upward pressure.

   Lift the Rear Cover

   Gently swing open the back cover from the right side like a book cover. Do not pull it completely away, as the fingerprint sensor flex cable is still connected.

   Disconnect Fingerprint Cable

   Use a precision pair of tweezers or a plastic spudger to pop the fingerprint sensor press connector off the motherboard. Lift away the back cover.

   Unscrew Upper Motherboard Shield

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove all screws holding down the upper plastic motherboard cover. Place the screws in a safe organizer.

    Remove Upper Motherboard Shield

    Pry up the edges of the upper motherboard cover with a plastic opening tool and remove it from the device.

    Disconnect the Battery

    Insert the flat end of a plastic spudger beneath the battery flex cable connector and lift straight up to disconnect power.

    Unscrew Lower Loudspeaker Assembly

    Remove the Phillips screws securing the speaker housing at the bottom of the frame.

    Remove Loudspeaker Module

    Wedge a plastic opening tool underneath the speaker housing and lift it out of the chassis.

    Disconnect Display Cable

    Locate the main display flex cable connected to the lower section of the motherboard. Pry the connector straight up to disconnect it.

    Heat the Display Glass

    Warm the perimeter of the front screen with a heat gun for 2 to 3 minutes to loosen the screen adhesive.

    Apply Suction Cup to Screen

    Place the suction cup near the bottom edge of the glass display and pull upward to form a seam.

    Slice Screen Adhesive

    Insert a plastic opening pick into the gap between the glass screen assembly and the outer housing frame. Slide the pick around all four edges to slice through the display glue.

    Remove Broken Screen Assembly

    Carefully lift the display away from the frame while guiding the flex cable out through the frame slot. Set the old display aside.

    Clean Frame Perimeter

    Scrape away remaining glass debris and adhesive residue along the frame edges using a spudger and isopropyl alcohol. Ensure the frame channel is completely flat.

    Apply Screen Adhesive

    Lay down fresh, pre-cut double-sided adhesive strips along the inner border of the frame rim. Peel off the protective backing paper.

    Install New Screen

    Thread the new screen's display ribbon cable through the frame opening. Align the display accurately within the frame border and press down firmly around the edges.

    Reconnect Display and Battery

    Snap the new display flex cable press connector back into place on the board, followed by reconnecting the battery connector.

    Reinstall Speaker and Shields

    Position the loudspeaker housing and upper motherboard shield back into place. Secure them by tightening all Phillips screws.

    Seal Rear Cover

    Reconnect the fingerprint sensor cable, line up the rear cover onto fresh adhesive, and press firmly along all edges to complete the repair.
