   Turn off phone

   Press and hold the power button, then select Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is fully shut down before proceeding.

   Remove SIM tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole next to the SIM tray on the side of the phone. Push firmly until the tray pops out, then pull it out completely.

   Warm rear panel

   Apply heat evenly around the outer edges of the back cover using a heat gun or hairdryer on low heat for 2 minutes. This softens the underlying adhesive.

   Attach suction cup

   Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the back panel. Press down firmly to create a tight seal against the surface.

   Create gap with pick

   Pull up on the suction cup while pressing a thin plastic opening pick into the gap created between the back panel and frame.

   Slice rear adhesive

   Slide the plastic pick along the entire perimeter of the phone to separate the back panel adhesive. Apply additional heat if you encounter strong resistance.

   Lift off back cover

   Carefully lift the rear panel off the frame. Set the back panel aside in a safe, dust-free location.

   Remove speaker screws

   Use a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove all the screws securing the lower loudspeaker module to the bottom frame.

   Remove loudspeaker module

   Insert a spudger under the edge of the loudspeaker assembly and gently pry it out of the chassis.

    Disconnect main flex cable

    Use the flat end of a spudger to unsnap the main interconnect flex cable connector from the charging port daughterboard.

    Disconnect antenna cable

    Use tweezers or a spudger to carefully lift the coaxial antenna cable connector straight up from the charging port board.

    Remove charging sub-board

    Gently pry beneath the edges of the original charging port sub-board using a spudger to release it from the frame adhesive.

    Insert new charging board

    Position the new charging port sub-board into the bottom cavity of the frame and press down gently to seat it.

    Attach antenna cable

    Align the coaxial antenna connector over its socket on the new board and press down firmly until it snaps into place.

    Attach main flex cable

    Align the main interconnect flex cable over the daughterboard socket and press down until you feel a light click.

    Reinstall loudspeaker

    Set the loudspeaker module back into place over the charging sub-board and press it flat into the chassis.

    Fasten speaker screws

    Reinstall all the Phillips screws that secure the loudspeaker assembly to the bottom of the device.

    Apply rear cover adhesive

    Clean remaining old glue with isopropyl alcohol, then apply new double-sided adhesive strips along the inner frame perimeter.

    Press back cover on

    Align the back cover with the phone frame and press firmly along all edges to secure the adhesive seal.

    Insert SIM tray

    Slide the SIM card tray back into its slot on the side of the phone until it sits flush against the frame.
