   Power down the device

   Press and hold the power button, then select Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is completely powered down before continuing.

   Remove the SIM tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the small pinhole next to the card tray. Press firmly to pop out the tray and slide it out.

   Heat the back cover

   Apply heat evenly along the perimeter of the back cover for 2 minutes to soften the perimeter adhesive.

   Attach the suction cup

   Press a suction cup firmly onto the lower portion of the rear panel. Pull up gently on the ring to create a small gap.

   Slice the back cover adhesive

   Insert an opening pick into the gap created by the suction cup. Slide the pick around all four edges to cut through the glue.

   Remove the back cover

   Carefully lift the rear panel away from the phone body. Set the back panel aside in a safe spot.

   Unscrew the mid-frame

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove all visible screws securing the plastic mid-frame cover.

   Detach the mid-frame

   Insert a spudger under the lip of the plastic mid-frame. Pry gently around the perimeter to release the plastic clips.

   Disconnect the battery cable

   Locate the battery flex connector on the motherboard. Pry it straight up using a plastic spudger to safely disconnect power.

    Disconnect the display cable

    Pry the display flex connector straight up from the lower portion of the motherboard using a spudger tool.

    Heat the front screen

    Apply heat directly to the front screen edges for 3 minutes to soften the screen glue.

    Separate the glass screen

    Attach a suction cup to the lower display edge and pull up to create a gap. Insert an opening pick under the glass edge.

    Slice display perimeter adhesive

    Slide the plastic pick along all four sides of the front panel to slice through the remaining display adhesive.

    Remove broken screen assembly

    Thread the display flex cable out through the frame slot. Lift and remove the damaged screen assembly.

    Clean the frame rim

    Scrape off residual adhesive from the internal frame using isopropyl alcohol and a spudger. Ensure the ledge is clean and dry.

    Apply screen adhesive

    Place narrow double-sided adhesive strips along the entire inner rim of the phone frame.

    Install new display

    Guide the new screen flex cable through the frame opening. Align the display glass precisely with the frame and press it down.

    Reconnect display connector

    Align the display flex connector over its motherboard socket and press down firmly until it clicks into place.

    Reconnect battery connector

    Press the battery flex connector straight down onto its motherboard terminal to restore power connections.

    Reattach mid-frame

    Align the plastic mid-frame over the phone and press around the edges until it snaps in. Reinstall all Phillips screws.

    Seal the back cover

    Apply fresh adhesive strips along the back cover rim and firmly press the back panel into place.

    Reinsert SIM tray
