Power Off the Device
1 minPress and hold the power button, then select Power Off on the screen to shut down the device completely.

Eject the SIM Card Tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject pin or thin paperclip into the hole on the top left side of the frame to eject the tray.

Heat the Rear Cover

Create an Opening Gap
2 minAttach a suction cup near the bottom edge of the back panel and pull upward to form a small gap in the seam.

Slice the Rear Adhesive
4 minInsert a plastic prying tool into the gap and slice along all four edges of the perimeter adhesive.

Remove the Back Cover
1 minCarefully lift the rear cover clear of the body frame and set it aside on a clean surface.

Unscrew the Lower Speaker Housing
3 minUse a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the lower loudspeaker bezel.

Disconnect the Battery Cable
1 minUse the flat end of a spudger to detach the battery flex connector from the motherboard to prevent shorts.

Pry Out the Old Speaker
2 minGently wedge a plastic spudger under the speaker module assembly and pop it out of the bottom cavity.

Install the Replacement Speaker
2 minPosition the new loudspeaker unit into the lower chassis notch and push down until it sits flush.

Reconnect the Battery Cable
1 minPress the battery flex connector straight down onto its motherboard press fit socket.

Secure the Speaker Housing
3 minAlign the speaker housing cover back over the assembly and tighten all Phillips screws securely.

Apply Fresh Rear Adhesive
3 minClean remaining adhesive off the frame edges with isopropyl alcohol and attach new adhesive strips.

Reattach the Back Cover
2 minAlign the back cover with the phone chassis and press around the perimeter to seal the adhesive.

Reinsert the SIM Tray
1 minSlide the SIM tray back into its slot on the left edge of the device until it sits flush.
