Step-by-step

Eject the SIM card tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject pin into the hole on the left edge of the phone. Push firmly to eject the tray and pull it completely out.

Heat the back panel
2 minApply heat evenly across the edges of the back cover using a heat gun for approximately two minutes to soften the internal adhesive.

Attach the suction cup
1 minPlace a suction cup on the lower third of the back panel and pull upward firmly to create a narrow gap along the bottom seam.

Slice the back cover adhesive
3 minInsert a plastic opening pick into the seam gap and slowly slide it around all four edges to slice through the adhesive.

Remove the back panel
1 minCarefully lift the back cover straight off the chassis and lay it aside on a clean surface.

Unscrew the motherboard bracket
3 minUse a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove all visible screws securing the upper midframe bracket to the frame.

Pry off the upper bracket cover
2 minInsert a flat spudger under the edge of the plastic midframe cover and pop it off the retaining clips.

Disconnect the battery flex cable
1 minLever the battery press connector straight up from its socket on the logic board using a plastic spudger.

Disconnect the interconnect flex cables
2 minUnplug the main display flex cable and sub-board interconnect cable connectors from the logic board.

Unclip the coaxial antenna cables
2 minUse fine tweezers to gently lift the antenna cable heads straight up from their snap connectors on the board.

Disconnect the camera modules
2 minPry up the flex cable connectors for both the front selfie camera and the rear camera cluster.

Remove the logic board retaining screw
1 minUnscrew the single Phillips #000 screw holding the bottom section of the logic board to the housing.

Lift out the logic board
2 minGently pry up the bottom edge of the logic board with a spudger and lift it out of the phone chassis.

Transfer camera sensors to new board
3 minCarefully remove the camera modules and sensor rubber gaskets from the original board and transfer them to the replacement logic board.
